JDS Uniphase says Q3 may not be the bottom

SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) - JDS Uniphase Corp said that the company's most recent forecasts have indicated that the third quarter, ending in March, may not be the bottom for the company.

During its post second-quarter earnings conference call, the company said that previous forecasts showed improvement in the fourth quarter -- ending in June -- over the third, but this was not longer the case.

The company said that the degree of visibility has decreased and it is unable to say when it expects sales to improve.
