BSCS Migrations Completed for Eight Operators in Europe and Africa
Total of over 2 million subscribers served by new version of BSCS
ATLANTA/FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1999-- LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHSG - news; Neuer Markt: LHI) announced today that eight operators in Europe and Africa have successfully completed migration from their existing versions of LHS' customer care and billing software, BSCS, to a newer release of BSCS. The migrations were for a combined total of over 2 million subscribers. LHS' global partners Cap Gemini, Logica, and Alcatel acted individually as the system integrators for six of the operators.
The eight operators who have successfully upgraded their client/server-based solution are: MaxMobil, GSM operator, Austria, 750,000 subscribers; Mobistar, convergent operator, Belgium, 250,000 subscribers (joint project with Cap Gemini); Mobilix, convergent operator, Denmark, 200,000 subscribers (joint project with Cap Gemini); RDM, GSM operator, Czech Republic, 300,000 subscribers, joint project with Logica; MobiNil; GSM operator, Egypt, 450,000 subscribers (joint project with Alcatel); 9 Telekom, ISDN operator and Internet Service Provider, France, 100,000 subscribers (joint project with Cap Gemini); MTC, GSM operator, Namibia, 30,000 subscribers; and Mobitel; GSM operator, Slovenia, 170,000 subscribers (joint project with Cap Gemini).
