TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/27/06 -- Trimax Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, PLC Network Solutions Inc. (PLC) (OTC BB: TMXO), a leading provider of Broadband over Powerline (BPL) communication technologies, announced today that it has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding to establish a joint Saudi/Canadian company with the A.B Group based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The A.B Group has significant holdings in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and maintains high level relationships throughout the government and business sectors in KSA and the surrounding middle eastern countries.

The basis of the joint venture is to design, build, deploy and operate the latest Broadband over Powerline communication technology throughout a majority of the Saudi's urban centers. The implementation of a BPL network significantly reduces the capital expenditure costs of deployment by utilizing the existing electrical infrastructure. BPL is like a fiber optic extension to every electrical outlet in a building, without having to run new wires. The new-co will provide affordable high speed triple-play broadband services to utilities, government, institutions, business and residential users in order to meet the increasing demand for bandwidth throughout Saudi.

PLC Network Solutions was invited to Saudi Arabia in January to run a series of demonstrations and deploy a pilot project to confirm the quality and capability of its applications and services. The pilot been evaluated for the last 8 weeks with great success. Trimax/PLC will return to Saudi Arabia in the forthcoming weeks to run demo's with additional technologies including smart grid equipment as well as meters, surveillance cameras etc that were customized specifically for a client.

Derek Pepler, President, Trimax/PLC, commented, "Saudi Arabia is a strategic location for Trimax/PLC's BPL technology in the middle east. It is the top oil producing country and holds more than 25 per cent of the world's oil reserves. Saudi joined the WTO in December and is demonstrating its pledge to political and economic reform and receptiveness to foreign investment. Saudi is committed to diversifying their economy to build long-term prosperity for its people. One example of this is the $26.6-billion US state-of-the-art real estate development -- the King Abdullah Economic City, which is located on the Red Sea with 35 km of shoreline just north of Saudi's second largest city, Jeddah. The City will have a world-class seaport, industrial district, financial district, education zone, resorts and residential neighborhoods. The Economic City is hoping to attract some multi-national attention away from Dubai. The city will be ultra high tech and wired for fiber -- Trimax/PLC is optimistic that its BPL technology will be specified in the communications plan."
