Intel sees Q4 revenue miss (INTC) by August Cole
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Intel said late Thursday fourth-quarter revenue will come in below expectations after some customers have cancelled orders. The company expects fourth-quarter revenue will be flat with, or a "couple of percentage points" above or below, the third-quarter level of $8.7 billion. Wall Street expected the chipmaker to notch 4 percent to 8 percent growth. Specifically, the company said gross margin for the fourth quarter will come in about 63 percent. Intel (INTC) shares closed up ahead of the halt up 63 cents to $33.31.
