Roy Pitchford (56)
Chief Executive Officer and Acting Chairman
Roy Pitchford
Roy has more than 20 years' senior management and executive experience in Southern Africa, 13 years of which were in the mining industry. He was CEO of Cluff Resources Zimbabwe Limited, Delta Gold Zimbabwe (Pty) Limited and Zimbabwe Platinum Mines Limited. He is also a past president of the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe. Roy was closely involved in building Zimplats' fortunes and creating a company with a PGM resource base in excess of 300 million ounces. This included taking the Ngezi opencast platinum mine into production and the re-commissioning of the Selous Metallurgical Complex at the end of 2001. He was also closely involved in Impala Platinum's acquisition of Zimplats.
Ian Saunders
Executive director
Mr. Saunders has 19 years experience in the mining industry, having held a number of senior technical and managerial positions in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He has been with New Dawn since 1996 and is currently President and CEO of the company. He has an extensive network of contacts throughout the region, most notably from being the President of the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe between July 2003 and May 2005, the Chairman of the Mining Industry Pension Fund and having sat on the Zimbabwe School of Mines board. He is also a Fellow of South African Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.
Robert Weingarten
Non-executive director
Mr. Weingarten has served as a consultant and adviser to a number of public companies in various stages of development, operation or reorganisation since 1979. Mr. Weingarten has been the Chairman of New Dawn since 31 August 2005, having previously been both the company's President and Chief Financial Officer.
Graham Clow (61)
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Clow is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr. Clow was appointed as CFO of New Dawn Mining Corp (TSX:ND) in August 2005. Mr. Clow does not currently hold any shares in CAG and will not join the board of directors of CAG ('the Board').
