Bin seit drei Wochen in Great Wall Technologies ( China).

Soweit ich weiß stellen die Hardware fürs Internet und Computer her.

Kooperationen mit westlichen Firmen sind zu erwarten. ( Lohnkosten )

Ausserdem wird ein neues Werk in Betrieb genommen.

Gewinn letztes Jahr 42 Mio Euro bei 720 Mio Umsatz.

Emissionpreis war 0.4 Euro.

Durch Inernetboom in China interessanter Wert.

           Potentially Large Low-end Chinese PC Market. In 1998, Great
           Wall Computer (GWC) sold 76,000 PCs, accounting for about 2% of the
           Chinese PC market. Sales volumes of PCs jumped further by 113% in
           1H99 to 69,000 sets and GWC is on target to achieve full year sales
           of 200,000 sets. GWC focuses on the lower end of the Chinese PC
           market, which is seen to have greater potential for growth.
           Currently, GWC has about a 40% share of the low-end market. Its
           efficient cost structure will allow it to compete effectively with
           clone products.

           

Potential
           Contributions From New Investments. In order to leverage on
           its existing business, GWT has signed an agreement with Conner
           Technology of the US to produce HDDs. This is expected to generate
           additional profits to the Group. At the same time, GWT is working on
           plans to provide broadband satellite networks on the mainland. It
           obtained an 'international business license for PRC information
           networks in 31 July 1999.
