Technical Analysis
Based on the technical position and future business plan of SportsPrize, we believe the stock price has the potential to appreciate in the near future. On May 12, 1999, SportsPrize began its trading debut with quite a support from investors, sending the stock from around $6 to over $9. During the next two months, the stock price depreciated to its 52-week low of about $3. Its 52-week high is $9 3/16 and 52-week low is $ 2 31/32. In early July, the stock reached an oversold condition as displayed by the stochastics oscillator in the chart below. On about July 7, two significant indicators signalled an apparent buying opportunity: (1) a cross-over effect took place with the fast and slow stochastics oscillators, and (2) confirmation with the cross-over of price through the simple moving average. At that time, the stock surged 33% from $3 to about $4. Currently, the price has settled back to its base level of support at the low $3 range.
What we are showing you here, is that some technical indicators are more useful for predicting price movement than others. For this stock, we believe that the simple moving average with price and the stochastics oscillators are the better ones to use for our analysis. Technical Analysis
Based on the technical position and future business plan of SportsPrize, we believe the stock price has the potential to appreciate in the near future. On May 12, 1999, SportsPrize began its trading debut with quite a support from investors, sending the stock from around $6 to over $9. During the next two months, the stock price depreciated to its 52-week low of about $3. Its 52-week high is $9 3/16 and 52-week low is $ 2 31/32. In early July, the stock reached an oversold condition as displayed by the stochastics oscillator in the chart below. On about July 7, two significant indicators signalled an apparent buying opportunity: (1) a cross-over effect took place with the fast and slow stochastics oscillators, and (2) confirmation with the cross-over of price through the simple moving average. At that time, the stock surged 33% from $3 to about $4. Currently, the price has settled back to its base level of support at the low $3 range.
