Nachdem Tele Atlas jetzt ja wohl von TomTom übernommen wird, wird es end auf dem Markt der Navigations Daten Anbieter. Bislang war der Markt zwischen Tele Atlas und Navteq aufgeteilt. Alle Anbieter von Navigationssystem haben bei einen dieser Anbieter ihre Daten bezogen.

Sobald  Tele Atlas zu TomTom gehört, werden wohl etliche Hersteller nicht mehr bei Tele Atlas kaufen, oder kaufen können. Das heißt also, das Geschäft verlagert sich zu Navteq.

Navteq ist schon deutlich gestiegen.

Das gibt jetzt harte Zeiten für die Hersteller von Navigationssystemen. Navteq ist jetzt der einzige freier Anbieter von Navigations Daten. Alle Hersteller sind darauf angewiesen.

Am blödesten ist es für Blaupunkt, war doch Tele Atlas früher bei ihnen (Hildesheim, Boschwerk, Bau 460). TomTom lacht sich einen ab und die anderen müssen zahlen.

New York  - Aktien des Anbieters von digitalem Kartenmaterial, Navteq, haben am Montag von Aussagen eines Analysten des Brokerhauses CIBC World Marktes Corp. profitiert, wonach das Unternehmen Ziel einer Übernahmeofferte werden könnte.

Außerdem würde der Verkauf eines Wettbewerbers die Fantasie der Anleger beflügeln. Der Verkauf der holländischen Tele Atlas an TomTom hätte Navteq in eine interessante Position manövriert, sagte der Analyst. Da TeleAtlas und Navteq in etwa die gleichen Kunden haben, könnte eine Mehrheit von ihnen ganz zu Navteq wechseln. Viele Kunden teilen mit ihren digitalen Kartenlieferanten sensible Daten. Dies könnte TeleAtlas bei der Übernahme durch TomTom zunächst zum Nachteil gereichen. Zudem ist Navteq als letztes unabhängiges Unternehmen vorrangiges Übernahmeziel. Ein Kandidat hierfür könnte Garmin sein, die mobile Navigationscomputer herstellen.

Navteq steigen um 4,3 Prozent auf 55,61 Dollar, Garmin legen um 6,1 Prozent auf 84,71 Dollar zu.

Navigationssysteme sind mittlerweilen einen Geschäft, aber keine Navi funktioniert ohne Daten. Und für diese Daten gibt es 2 Firmen: Tele Atlas und Navteq. Tele Atlas wird von TomTom übernommen, bleibt als einziger freier Anbieter Navteq. Wer Navteq kauft, beherrscht zusammen mit TomTom den Navi Markt. Das betrifft alle Geräte, aller Hersteller.

Es gibt bei den Navigationssystemen noch eine 2te strategische Komponente, das ist der GPS Empfänger. Da gibt es eigentlich nur einen wirklich guten und der stammt von SIRF (WKN A0B9KY) riesige Umsätze an der Nasdaq, aber fast nichts in Deutschland. Wer die kauft, beherrscht den Markt. Ich hoffe, dass die sich auch so gut entwickeln, wie meine Navteq.

Analysts responded to the company's positive guidance by raising their earnings estimates for both this year and next. On Jun 8, the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share on its common stock. ROK is currently yielding 1.66%.
Momentum - Apple, Inc. (Nasdaq:AAPL)
On Jul 25, 2007, Apple, Inc. reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of 92 cents per share, up from 54 cents last year and 21 cents above expectations. Revenues rose to $5.41 billion from $4.37 billion. On Jul 27, the stock made a new intra-day high of $148.92 on stronger-than-average volume. Look for AAPL's upward momentum to continue; however, higher volatility will likely result as analysts and investors debate the company's growth prospects, valuation and upcoming products.
Value - Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, Inc. (NYSE:FCX)
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, Inc. recently reported strong second-quarter and year-to-date results, fueled by its acquisition of rival Phelps Dodge in March along with increased metal pricing. Analysts responded by upping their profit forecasts for both this year and next. Earnings per share are projected to grow 31% over the next 3-5 years. Espoo (aktiencheck.de AG) - Die finnische Nokia Corp. (ISIN FI0009000681/ WKN 870737), der weltgrößte Hersteller von Mobiltelefonen, befand sich Sonntagnacht Presseangaben zufolge in tiefgreifenden Diskussionen über eine Akquisition der NAVTEQ Corp. (ISIN US63936L1008/ WKN A0CAV4), eines Herstellers von Navigations-Software.

Wie das "Wall Street Journal" am Montag in seiner Online-Ausgabe berichtet, wäre NAVTEQ mit einem Marktwert von 7,61 Mrd. Dollar eine der größten Übernahmen von Nokia in der Firmengeschichte. Beide Parteien befinden sich bereits seit Wochen in Verhandlungen, hieß es.

Es ist jedoch nach wie vor möglich, dass eine Transaktion aufgrund letzter Unstimmigkeiten scheitert, so die Zeitung weiter.

Espoo (aktiencheck.de AG) - Die Aktionäre des amerikanischen Software-Entwicklers NAVTEQ Corp. (ISIN US63936L1008/ WKN A0CAV4) haben am Mittwoch dem Verkauf an die finnische Nokia Corp. (ISIN FI0009000681/ WKN 870737) zugestimmt.

Demnach haben mehr als 75 Prozent der Aktionäre der Transaktion zugestimmt. Im Rahmen der Übernahme erhalten die Anteilseigner des auf Navigations-Software spezialisierten Konzerns 78 Dollar je Aktie in bar, was inklusive der Übernahme von Verbindlichkeiten einem Gesamtvolumen von 8,1 Mrd. Dollar entspricht.

Durch die Übernahme wird Nokia seine Marktposition in dem rasch wachsenden Markt für Navigations-Software festigen. Das Board of Directors von NAVTEQ hatte der Übernahme bereits im Herbst und die Wettbewerbsbehörden vergangene Woche zugestimmt.

Die Anteilsscheine von Nokia notieren aktuell in New York mit einem Plus von 2,05 Prozent bei 39,81 Dollar, während die Aktie von NAVTEQ aktuell an der NYSE 0,17 Prozent auf 74,47 Dollar abgibt. (12.12.2007/ac/n/a)

Espoo (aktiencheck.de AG) - Der finnische Mobiltelefonhersteller Nokia Corp. (Profil) meldete am Mittwoch, dass die Europäische Kommission die geplante Akquisition der amerikanischen NAVTEQ Corp. (Profil) ohne Auflagen genehmigt hat.

Wie der Konzern mitteilte, hat er nun sämtliche behördlichen Genehmigungen für die Übernahme erhalten. Vor diesem Hintergrund geht man davon aus, die Transaktion innerhalb der nächsten fünf Handelstage abzuschließen.

Nokia gab Ende März bekannt, dass die Europäische Kommission eine zweite Phase bei der Überprüfung der laufenden Akquisition eingeleitet hat. Seitdem hatte die Wettbewerbsbehörde der Europäischen Union 90 Arbeitstage Zeit, um eine endgültige Entscheidung hinsichtlich der Transaktion zu treffen.
