Music fans opt-in to receive newsletters by requesting information about one or several of the more than 10,000 artists RollingStone.com lists at the `MyRS' portion of its Web site. Once the subscriber defines the content he or she would like to receive, personalized pieces of information can then be inserted into an e-mail newsletter, making it unlikely that any two newsletters will contain the same content.
