Razorfish Goes Global With Broadband/Future TV Group; Company Strengthens Broadband/Future TV Efforts With Global
Expansion Headed by David Jensen
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2000--Razorfish Inc. (Nasdaq:RAZF), the digital solu!ions provider, today
announced the global expansion of its Broadband/Future TV group with the appointment of David Jensen as global
managing director, Broadband/Future TV.
Jensen's appointment continues Razorfish's investment in content development, broadband distribution, and the research,
development and deployment of interactive television (ITV) and enhanced television (ETV).
Jensen will take charge of the company's global broadband and Future TV operations, with strategic offices located in New
York, Los Angeles, London and Stockholm. Additionally, Razorfish named Jill Lindeman in London and Chris Kilmer in New
York to head the company's Broadband/Future TV units in those markets.
Signaling a new phase in the evolution of convergent media, Razorfish is taking broadband distribution and Future TV -
Razorfish's term for that time when broadband permeates the television environment, encompassing ETV, ITV, smart TV,
T-commerce and time-shifted television -- from the research and development studios and into the worldwide
marketplace.
The new appointments are a part of that transition. Razorfish's Broadband/Future TV group delivers high-performance
experiences to personal computers, television and wireless/mobile screens in the form of convergent, interactive,
broadband content.
With clients in traditional media and entertainment as well as in non-traditional media categories such as financial services,
healthcare, information communications, consumer goods, travel & leisure and transportation, the group provides solutions
that transfer brand assets to the digital environment.
Jeff Dachis, chief executive officer and co-chairman of Razorfish, explained, "The growing opportunities in broadband
distribution on the Internet, combined with interactive and enhanced television, are creating an increased demand for talent
and expertise in these emerging technologies. Jensen has a wealth of experience in the global interactive, broadband
technology and design fields, and with dedicated teams in both North America and Europe, we're able to provide a great
range of services to all of our clients in a more efficient and timely manner."
Jensen added, "By taking what we know about broadband technologies and digital media and combining it with what we
know about branding, marketing and promotion, Razorfish is able to develop new, rich and high-performance experiences
for any screen. I am very excited to be working with Jill and Chris and feel that they will be valuable assets to our global
team as we continue to deliver advanced solutions to our clients and educate consumers about the value of broadband and
Future TV."
Jensen, who guided the company's broadband and Future TV efforts in North America for the past year, now assumes
responsibility for overseeing Razorfish's global expansion in this area. Jensen will drive the company's global service
offerings in broadband, Future TV, convergent media and interactive television, and will be charged with meeting goals in
market development as well as business development.
