He expects Priceline to post revenue of $313 million as compared with the consensus estimate of $302 million. Blodget raised Priceline's earnings outlook for 2001 to a profit of 4 cents per share from 3 cents and for 2002 to 20 cents from 17 cents per share. He expects Priceline to have $1.2 billion in revenues for 2001 and $1.44 billion for 2002. The consensus estimate for 2001 is 3 cents per share and for 2002 is 14 cents per share

15. Halliburton Q2 profit rises 175% (HAL) By Lisa Sanders
Dallas-based Halliburton (HAL , the world's largest oilfield service company, said late Wednesday that it earned $143 million, or 33 cents a share, from continuing operations in the second quarter vs. a profit of $75 million, or 12 cents a share, posted a year ago. Analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial expected the company to earn, on average, 30 cents a share in the June quarter. Revenue in the second quarter climbed to $2.2 billion from $1.6 billion a year ago. Halliburton cited activity in its energy services group as one of the drivers behind its results. Shares of the company closed at $34.25, up $1.81, ahead of the announcement.
16.Accelerated Networks Inc. (ACCL) was the top gainer on REDIBook tonight, jumping 0.12, or 31.5 percent, to 0.50 after reporting a decline in Q2 revenue, but narrowing its quarterly loss. The developer of broadband access solutions reported revenue of $670,000, a 91 percent decrease from the $7.5 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. The company's net loss was $12.3 million, or $0.25 per share, versus a net loss of $12.8 million, or $1.14 per share, for Q2 2000.
17. Peregrine Systems (PRGN) was up to 24.11 on Island after it reported earnings of $0.12 per share on revenue of $172 million. Analysts were looking for the company to post a profit of $0.12 per share on revenue of $164.75 million, according to First Call. Going forward, the company reaffirmed its guidance for the full year, saying it projects earnings to climbed between 25% and 35% year-over-year and revenues to rise between 305 and 40%. 16.Accelerated Networks Inc. (ACCL) was the top gainer on REDIBook tonight, jumping 0.12, or 31.5 percent, to 0.50 after reporting a decline in Q2 revenue, but narrowing its quarterly loss. The developer of broadband access solutions reported revenue of $670,000, a 91 percent decrease from the $7.5 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. The company's net loss was $12.3 million, or $0.25 per share, versus a net loss of $12.8 million, or $1.14 per share, for Q2 2000.
17. Peregrine Systems (PRGN) was up to 24.11 on Island after it reported earnings of $0.12 per share on revenue of $172 million. Analysts were looking for the company to post a profit of $0.12 per share on revenue of $164.75 million, according to First Call. Going forward, the company reaffirmed its guidance for the full year, saying it projects earnings to climbed between 25% and 35% year-over-year and revenues to rise between 305 and 40%. Shares of Peregrine jumped 4.36, or 20%, to finish at 25.76.
18. Shares of WebEx Communications (WEBX) climbed 4.04, or nearly 23%, to 21.84. The Internet communications-infrastructure firm announced a record second quarter, posting an operating loss of $5.3 million, or 14 cents per share - 6 cents ahead of analysts' consensus estimate - on a 25% sequential rise in revenue to $18.4 million. Notable were the more than 800 new customers added, bringing the total installed base of recurring revenue customers to more than 4,000.

Level 3 Communications, the Broomfield fiber-optic communications company pummeled in recent months by an industry shakeout, logged a 66 percent increase in revenue for the second quarter and a net loss of $731 million or Level 3's quarterly revenue jumped to $389 million from $234 million in the same quarter a year ago, the company announced Wednesday. Level 3's net loss is $731 million, or $1.99 per share. Level 3 finished the second quarter with $3.8 billion in cash, marketable securities and a credit line. Its debt load stands at $8 billion. The company recently completed construction of its 16,000-mile fiber-optic network in North America, its 3,600-mile network in Europe and portions of a network in Asia, but it must spend billions more dollars to activate, or "light," portions of the network for use.
Level 3 anticipates breaking even in cash flow -- the point at which its revenues cover all of its expenses -- in early 2004.
