Dow Chemical warns does not expect to meet Q4 10-20 cents EPS forecast
MIDLAND, MI (AFX) - Dow Chemical Co warned that it does not expect to meet its fourth-quarter earnings per share forecast of 10-20 cents, due to softer volumes in some of its businesses and continued pressure on margins in chemicals and plastics.
The First Call/Thomson Financial forecast is for fourth-quarter EPS of 13 cents. The range of forecasts from 11 analysts spans 5-19 cents.
Dow Chemical posted EPS of 36 cents in the fourth quarter of 2000.
The company is scheduled to report on January 31.
