Adelong Capital Limited has committed to invest A$210,000 into Advent
Television Ltd ahead of a proposed public float later this year in
Singapore.
Advent Television is a broadcast media development company operating
in the emerging world of t-commerce and digital television. Advent
Television is a Singapore based unlisted public company. Its head
office and main operations are in Singapore.
Advent Television is an incubator of media businesses and since its
formation in 1997, has developed a number of commercial activities
from its world pioneering, full-national, terrestrial DVB-T
broadcasting facility which commenced broadcasting in Singapore in
February 1998.
Advent Television is the world's first DVB-T digital television
service provider and broadcaster.
Advent offers the opportunity to participate in the emerging world of
t-commerce and digital television. The introduction of digital
television is creating a wealth of opportunities. Advent is
capitalising on its industry experience and intellectual property to
create leading edge applications and solutions for digital
television.
To develop the business units, Advent has sought to introduce groups
which strategically add value to the company. Through this process
the road to full commercial development of the business units is
accelerated and Advent's investment exposure in the business units is
capped.
Advent's revenue flow from the business units is covered by their own
business plans. Advent consolidates its earnings from those units.
Advent's main revenue and growth is derived from the process of
capitalisation and realisation of the business units.
Advent's current business units include: Avation, CaptiveVision, Data
