Xybernaut Reports 56% Increase in Second Quarter Revenue
Monday August 11, 8:10 am ET

   Hardware Revenue Increases 115%

Equity Balance and Cash On-Hand Improve Significantly

   FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 2003--Xybernaut® Corporation
(NASDAQ:XYBR - News) today announced that total revenue for the second quarter of
2003 (three months ended June 30) was $2.8 million, a 56% increase from the preceding
first quarter of 2003, and a 38% increase from the comparable period in 2002.

As of June 30, the Company had no long-term debt, a stockholders' equity balance of
over $11 million and more than $5 million of cash on-hand. Subsequent to June 30, the
Company also reported that it had raised an additional $3 million through warrant
   exercises.

Hardware revenue for the second quarter of 2003 was $1.8 million, a 115% increase
from the first quarter of 2003 and a 53% increase from the second quarter of 2002.

Gross margin from hardware sales increased to 33% for the three months ended June 30,
2003 as compared with 12% for the three months ended June 30, 2002. Margin for
consulting and other sales increased to 38% in the second quarter of 2003 versus 34% in
   the second quarter of 2002.

The net loss for the second quarter of 2003 decreased over 50% to $3.3 million from the
second quarter of 2002. The net loss per share also decreased to $0.02 per share from

$0.10 per share in the prior year.

"The Company is moving in the right direction in virtually all areas. We are pleased
with our second quarter results and especially the record revenue levels that we
achieved. We are determined to do even better on all fronts as we move forward and my
outlook remains highly positive," stated Steven A. Newman, Xybernaut president.

Thomas D. Davis, senior vice president and CFO, added, "We have continued our cost
cutting efforts into 2003, streamlined operations and, with significant cash on-hand we
now believe that we have more than enough capital to last us through the end of the
   year."

"From recent meetings with executives of some of the world's largest companies, I've
seen first hand that these business leaders recognize that wearable computing has moved
from a possible to a preferred mobile computing solution," stated Edward G. Newman,
chairman and CEO. "Our primary objective is to steadily increase stakeholder value by
leveraging these relationships and others as well as our expertise and successes to
   produce tangible results."

Cash soll bis Ende des Jahres reichen - Verlust pro Share vermindert, was aber auch keine Kunst ist, wenn sich die Aktienanzahl ständig erhöht :-)
"Company also reported that it had raised an additional $3 million through warrant exercises."

Zumindest legt der Kurs vorbörslich gut zu.

FAIRFAX, Va., Jun 21, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Xybernaut(R) Corporation (XYBR) today announced the Company has been granted a patent by the State of Israel's Patent Office related to the Company's Transferable Core computer intellectual property (IP).

The Transferable Core computer patent describes a device which is smaller than the size of a cell phone containing the "brains" of a PC - processor, memory, storage and I/O circuitry, desktop, software applications and information - everything but the power supply and display. When plugged into what the Patent calls an "enclosure," which can be anything from a stripped down laptop, to a cell phone, to the dashboard of a car, the core unit becomes a true "personal" computer.

The core technology allows the user to select the Core Computer unit with the features (combination of hardware and software) that are best suited for the task at hand. Another benefit of Xybernaut Transferable Core patented technologies is that, regardless of what enclosure is used, the operator always has a familiar computing environment. The operating system, software, applications, data and the look-and-feel of your personal desktop are the same.

"Our efforts to forge strategic relationships and licensing agreements with a growing base of leading equipment manufacturers, resellers and integrators, is based largely on our ability to expand and protect our intellectual property in leading world markets," stated Edward G. Newman, Xybernaut chairman and CEO. "Xybernaut has already entered into licensing and business combination relationships with international companies to develop technologies and solution services directly rooted in Xybernaut IP and we expect more success on that front."

The Israeli Patent Office issued the Transferable Core computer patent, which corresponds to the Xybernaut U.S. patent No. 6,029,183, as Israeli Patent No. 123,493.

FAIRFAX, Va. & BEIJING, Jun 24, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Xybernaut(R) Corporation (XYBR) and Beijing Hualixing Sci-Tech Development Co., Ltd (HLX) today announced a cargo inspection solution for container scanning that can scan not only the contents of stationary containers, but even moving containers, such as rail cars.

The new solution, TC-SCAN Cargo Inspection Systems (CIS), will be marketed and implemented initially in Japan and several European countries by Xybernaut through an agreement with CIS's manufacturer, Beijing Hualixing Sci-Tech Development Co., Ltd (HLX), and the technology developer, China's renowned Tsinghua University. Additional territories are under discussion.

The CIS solution operates on sea containers, air containers and rail containers as well as traditional truck bodies. Features include the ability to provide clear scans of container contents even when the containers are in motion; the ability to be transported and set up at remote sites, lower cost than alternative devices; ease of operation; safe operation (about the same radiation level as flying in a commercial aircraft for one hour); the ability to detect targeted materials; and the ability to be programmed to search for any density compound.

"While we are developing modern high-tech security solutions here in China with our partners, we have been missing that systems integrator and development company that can help us go-to-market internationally in the homeland security sector," said Dr. Liu, Bin, Sci-Tech General Manager. "With Xybernaut understanding of the Chinese culture and business environment, its worldwide partner network and its direct and successful security solutions for the Port of Charleston, airport authorities, Littleton, Colorado school emergency efforts, Essex County (MA) Prisons and homeland security efforts in Winchester, Virginia, we have the makings of an excellent team to grow our container inspection business."

"The HLX TS-SCAN Cargo Inspection System container scanning solution, whether fixed or mobile, offer many unique capabilities when compared to alternatives on the market now or available in the foreseeable future," said Edward Newman, Xybernaut chairman and CEO.

Thirteen TC-SCAN CIS's are already deployed throughout China, the Middle East and Africa with additional orders already received and being manufactured. As part of additional agreements to be formalized, Xybernaut will assist Sci-Tech in certifying the products for sale on an exclusive basis in the targeted territories. It is anticipated that the CIS's will be fully integrated into Xybernaut's security services, including its software, wireless, sensors and mobile computing offerings.

FAIRFAX, Va., Jun 28, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Xybernaut(R) Corporation (XYBR) today confirmed the Company had been added to the Russell 3000(R) Index on June 25 when Russell Investment Group reconstituted its family of 21 U.S. indexes.

Membership in the Russell 3000, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion for Xybernaut in the small-cap Russell 2000(R) as well as the appropriate growth and style indexes.

"Being recognized for inclusion in the Russell 3000 and 2000 Indexes marks a significant milestone in our efforts to refocus the Company and also affords us the opportunity to build an even larger institutional following for Xybernaut common stock," said Edward G. Newman, chairman and CEO of Xybernaut.

Membership in Russell's 21 U.S. equity indexes is determined primarily by objective market capitalization rankings and style attributes. Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. More than $360 billion is invested in passive funds based on Russell's indexes and an additional $1.4 trillion is benchmarked to them. Investment managers who oversee these funds purchase shares of member stocks according to that company's weighting in the particular index.

Annual reconstitution of Russell indexes captures the 3,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization to create the Russell 3000. The largest 1,000 companies in the ranking comprise the Russell 1000 while the remaining 2,000 companies become the widely used Russell 2000. These investment tools originated from Russell's multi-manager investment business in the early 1980s because the company needed a more objective, market-driven set of benchmarks in order to evaluate outside investment managers.

WASHINGTON, Sep 22, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mobile/wearable computing is quickly becoming an attractive technology for integration with textiles -- garments, apparel, furniture, housing materials and many other types of textiles. The combination of these two industries is the focal point for many sessions during the Taipei International Apparel Show 2004 held this week in Taiwan.

To address the intersection of these technology categories, Edward G. Newman, chairman and CEO of Xybernaut Corporation (XYBR) , has been invited to discuss these topics and Xybernaut experiences in the areas of computing and textile technology integration on September 23.

"It's now considered critical to have mobile access to all types of critical data (text, audio, video, images, speech or geo-spatial information) wherever and whenever needed," stated Edward G. Newman. "Making computers more flexible and usable will naturally include efforts to integrate these technologies more closely with textiles -- whether these efforts be at the fabrics level or at the level of garment design and production. From telemedicine, to military/tactical deployments, to consumer applications, the possibilities are boundless," continued Newman.

Xybernaut currently holds patents that relate how computers are worn, how they integrate with garments/textiles and specific applications of computer-enhanced textiles. Examples of Xybernaut intellectual property in these areas include computers combined with protective garments such as body armor, HAZMAT response garments, clean-room garments and others.
