3:06PM New High Profile -- Optical Comm (OCPI) 3.85 +0.31: Making a new 52-week high today (on 2x avg volume) is Optical Communication Products, a manufacturer of fiber optic subsystems and modules for metropolitan area, local area and storage area networks. Small cap gear makers have been strong lately on early signs of a pick up in cap-ex spending by the telcos. In fact, the co just reported SepQ sales growth of 10%, although it posted a slight loss. The balance sheet is in good shape with $1.20/sh in cash/inv with virtually no long term debt. Float is a bit heavy at 68 mln shares... Although it's only one estimate, the analyst expects sales this year (Sep 04) of $49.8 mln which would represent top line growth of 28%.
