Apple Q4 earnings in line with estimates (AAPL) By Rex Crum
Apple Computer (AAPL) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of 2 cents a share, or $7 million, meeting the consensus estimates of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call. The earnings excluded write downs of equity investments and restructuring charges. When those figures were taken into account, Apple's net loss came in at 13 cents a share, or $45 million. Revenue for the quarter was $1.44 billion, which was flat with the same period a year ago.
