Press Release 9 March 2011 BCL adds national and global experience to its board of directors Former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Sir Rabbie Namaliu GCL CSM KCMG has been appointed a director on the board of Bougainville Copper Limited. Among his duties as a non-executive director, Sir Rabbie will become a member of the company’s audit committee, which under the Australian Securities Exchange rules, has responsibility for governance and the rights of shareholders. BCL Chairman Peter Taylor said the company was delighted by Sir Rabbie’s acceptance of the invitation to join the board.

“The former Prime Minister is a distinguished statesman and a committed Papua New Guinean, with ministerial experience in Foreign Affairs and Trade, Treasury, Primary Industry, Petroleum and Energy and other areas of government responsibility. “He holds directorships of several other Papua New Guinea companies, and is a member of the PNG Institute of Directors. “We welcome the addition of his experience and judgement to the decision-making processes of BCL, at a time of great challenge and opportunity,” Mr Taylor said.

It is expected that Sir Rabbie’s appointment will be endorsed by shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting in April. Subject to election by shareholders at the AGM, directors normally serve for a term of three years, after which they can offer themselves for re-election. Sir Rabbie’s CV notes that he is a non-executive director of Marengo Mining Limited, a non-executive director of Kina Securities Limited, and Chairman of the publicly listed investment company Kina Asset Management Limited.

In February last year he was appointed Chairman of Kramer Ausenco, a new joint venture of PNG engineering company Kramer (PNG) Limited and Ausenco of Australia. Betreff Bougainville müsste doch eigentlich jedem hier klar sein,dass es sich hier um ein längerfristiges Invest handelt . Schliesslich ist hier alles erst wieder im Aufbau und das dauert halt seine Zeit.Ich für meinen Teil bin davon überzeugt das Bougainville seinen Weg gehen wird .Nur Geduld.

Absichten man mit diesem Investment hat. Wer informiert(!) ist, der weiß, dass es hier nicht von Heute auf Morgen möglich ist, die Kupferwaggons aus dem Loch herauszufahren. Also ist das Ganze auch nicht mit so kurzfristigen Inso-Zocks, irgendwelcher Klitschen zu vergleichen. Klar kann es hier auch ganz schnell gehen, wenn das Review etc. offiziell bekannt wird etc. Wann genau das sein wird, ist aber nicht abzuschätzen (wohl aber vor November diesen Jahres). Deswegen kann ich auch die Leute nicht verstehen, die jetzt verkaufen. Das sind entweder welche die überhaupt keinen Schimmer über den Wert haben oder sie sind einfach nur dämlich. Ausgenommen sind natürlich kleinere Gewinnmitnahmen fürs Gewissen (was ich aber auch nicht verstehe, bei dem Potential).

NO COMMITMENT

The Australian Government made no commitments on calls by ABG President, JOHN MOMIS FOR Australia to give more aid to Bougainville.
ABG President JOHN MOMIS made this known during a press conference yesterday.
He said however the Foreign Minister would be visiting Bougainville on March 28th and it is anticipated that he could make some commitments on behalf of the government and people of Australia.
MR. MOMIS said that his visit to Australia made it possible for him to meet so many Government and private citizens who are willing to assist Bougainville.

Panguna mine will re-open soon: Momis

Bougainville President John Momis said his talks with Bougainville Copper has started a dialogue which would eventually lead to the re-opening of the Panguna Mine.
The mine was closed in 1988 after it became the spark which ignited a decade long civil war but President Momis said there was now a consensus on Bougainville in favour of a large scale mining.
He said this while speaking to ABC’s Jemima Garrett during his week long trip to Australia.
President Momis told his many audiences that the key to success for the Bougainville Peace Agreement was finding economic opportunities for his people.
Mr Momis was willing to consider any major development but at this stage the re-opening of the Panguna copper mine is the only project likely to be able to start operating in time to provide the autonomous region with an economic base before a referendum on independence which is due to take place between 2015 and 2020.
President Momis met Bougainville Copper (BCL) Chairman Peter Taylor in Sydney as well where he reportedly had a enlightening talk, exchanging of ideas and a good intellectual encounter.
“I am satisfied. We did not discuss issues in detail but I am satisfied that we have established a process, a form of dialogue that we can maintain as we both consult our constituents and work on ways and means of consolidating the mutual trust and translate that trust into concrete economic benefits,” he said.
President Momis said a new mine agreement would look very different from the old colonial era agreement that was the cause of so many problems.
“If we want to re-open the mine, we have to have a total commitment to resolve the differences we had and we have to do it commercially.
“On our side we have to recognise BCL’s legal rights, the (Papua New Guinea) National Government’s legal rights and on the part of BCL, they have to recognise that landowners and the people of Bougainville in general must have a more equitable distribution of benefits – in terms of employment and actual benefits and perhaps even look at giving the people through their government some measure of equity,” he said.
President Momis also said there had been a sea-change in public opinion on Bougainville but he knows that negotiating a new mining agreement will still be a difficult task.
“There are some armed individuals in South Bougainville but it’s a minute proportion of the total population. Everybody wants development, stability, peace and I am saying now that the slogan should be changed from “peace through peaceful means” to peace through socio-economic means. That means empowering people by involving them in socio-economic programs,” he added.
President Momis said the opponents of mining have a right to express their views, have a right to express their fears but “I believe we can responsibly and effectively deal with this culture of fear, this syndrome of fear, by educating people.”
He said the landowners have more or less agreed to form an umbrella organisation to give them one voice and they will be in negotiations with the National Government and developer.
“We would like to get them started this year. We are in the process of getting some professional technical advice and we will start talking with Bougainville Copper and the National Government so that we can start the process.
“Because it will take sometime before the mine operates,” President Momis said

wieder einsteigen lachen sich doch tot über deine Aussage.Warum sollt ich jetzt kaufen, wenn der Kurs radikal fällt......?

hab ich vor sehr vielen hier im Tread .....Viele arbeiten wirklich hart daran, News zu erarbeiten.  Nur wenn jemand verkauft und der als Deppen dargestellt wird, und derjenige mir nicht sagen kann, warum ich jetzt wieder einsteigen soll..... Das mag ich nicht .... Bei dir EnJoy riech ich nur Angst,das schreckt mich noch mehr ab wieder einzusteigen........ Hast ja aus allen Kanonen geschossen, die du hast .........Leider nur warme Luft , aber das hörst du bestimmt nicht zum ersten Mal .
P.S will nur wissen, warum ich jetzt bei sink. Kursen wieder einsteigen soll ?

zu den ASX files: verstehe ich es richtig, das 26 Mio. Kurswert in AUD leerverkauft bzw. geliehen sind?! oder sind es nur 3500 stück?!

im januar waren es genau so viel wie im märz: 26.079.268,8 AUD
der kurs war aber ein anderer...

wie viele stücke sind es, es könnten ja auch 50 Mio zu 0,50 AUD sein?!
oder verstehe ich die files falsch?

leerverkäufe waren es also in den letzten monaten nicht, wahrscheinlich hat Vmax verluste realisiert....

Wo hab ich geschrieben, das DU oder irgendjemand hier einsteigen soll? Lesen, Verstehen, Antworten. Und wieso man einsteigen sollte, kann man in allen Möglichen Zeitungen nachlesen. Ich habe auch klipp und klar geschrieben, dass es hier kein kurzfristiger Inso-Zock ist. Und wovor soll ich denn Angst haben? Ich bin noch sehr gut im Plus... verkaufe trotzdem nicht. Ist das also ein Zeichen von Angst?

Ich glaube eher, dass du mit Verlust rausbist und jetzt deinen persönlichen Frust hier ablässt.

Und nochmal für dich zum mitschreiben: Wer hier investiert, der weiß ganz genau (oder sollte es wissen), dass es hier noch mehrere Monate dauern kann bis es richtig losgeht... Und stell dir vor, ich war sogar schon über 30 % im Minus, also mich schreckt hier garnichts ab, weil ich weiß, dass es am Ende eigentlich nur ein Ziel geben kann...

hätte nie gedacht, dass jemand über sich soviel preisgibt und dann meint er könnte Andere einschätzen...... Ich hoffe für dich, dass du besser bei Kurseinschätz. bist, als bei Menschen........ vielleicht hast du ja mal Glück

Du bist wohl eher die Person die glaubt, sie würde mich kennen. Mit deinen Börsenweisheiten die du hier meinst anwenden zu müssen, wirst du wahrscheinlich nicht weit kommen. Ist mir eigentlich auch ziemlich egal, was du mit deine Kohle anstellst oder nicht. Am Besten, du gehst zurück zu deinem "Liebling" OHB. Da gibts ja seit Anfang des Jahres auch nur Prügel... Uuuups

Gibt es eigentlich Gründe warum sich die Struktur der Aktienbesitzer so geändert hat,oder hat jemand mit 49 Mio.Stücken einfach sein Depot zu JPM übertragen.
Mich stimmen die Veränderungen sehr zuversichtlich.

 da hat heute in Autralien jemand in einer halben Stunde rund 120.000 Stücke verkauft,dem Kurs hat es kaum geschadet,auch das stimmt mich zuversichtlich

Deine Kommentare sind einfach nur noch lächerlich.......Du wurdest persönlich ( steht dir).....Du sagst die Unwahrheit ........

( erst 30% im Minus und jetzt 30% im Plus )   das ist schwer zu glauben, wenn man sich den Kurs anschaut ! Wann bist du dann eingestiegen ( oder mit 1000 stck lach....) geht nicht ! Wenn du persönlich werden willst, kannst du es gerne haben....., man muß aber auch Persönlichkeit haben ...  das will und kann ich auch nicht beurteilen, da mußt du deine Frau fragen.............. ups du hast keiine ??

Der Grund für den Anstieg der Aktienzahl bei JPM ist viel einfacher. JPM hat das "custodian services business" von ANZ übernommen. Damit sind auch die früher von ANZ Nominees gehaltenen Shares zu JPM "gewandert".
