Terje Christoffersen succeeds Petri Markkanen as CEO at BirdstepTechnology

(Oslo, November 16th, 2007) Birdstep Technology ASA has during the two last years developed into becoming a leading mobility solutions provider. Petri Markkanen, Chief Executive Officer of Birdstep, will continue to lead the company until the end of 2007. Terje Christoffersen is appointed to succeed Petri Markkanen as new acting Chief Executive Officer from January 1st 2008. - Birdstep Technology has during the two last years established itself in the fast growing area of mobility solutions. The company is today uniquely positioned towards OEMs, operators and enterprises when the industry is going mass market. The Board of Directors has appointed Terje Christoffersen (55) as acting Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from January 1st 2008. Christoffersen is currently partner in Interforum AS, a partnership with activities within consulting, investments and management-for-hire. From 1997 to 2007 he was holding the position as CEO of Netcom ASA and Group Executive Member of TeliaSonera AB in Stockholm. Prior to this he served as Manging Director for Hewlett Packard in the Nordic region. Christoffersen serves as a member of the Board of Directors in Posten Norge in addition to several other board positions. Christoffersen will be acting in the position as Chief Executive Officer of Birdstep Technology until the company's ordinary General Assembly in May 2008, when he has accepted to join the Board of Directors if approved by the General Assembly. - We are excited to welcome Terje Christoffersen as the new Birdstep CEO.
