KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order for 33 elevators and 21 escalators to be installed at the Liuzhou Poly International Center mixed-use development in Liuzhou, a city in the Guangxi Autonomous Region of South Central China.

The development includes a 54-story office and hotel tower that rises to a height of 248 meters and a shopping mall. KONE will deliver two KONE MonoSpace® elevators, 31 KONE MiniSpace(TM) elevators, 21 KONE TravelMaster(TM) escalators, and the advanced KONE Destination Control System (DCS) to the development. In additional, all equipment will be linked to the KONE E-Link(TM) remote monitoring solution, which provides real-time status updates on equipment performance. Some 3,000 people are expected to use the KONE equipment on a daily basis.

"We are very pleased to continue and to strengthen our long relationship with Poly Property in Guangxi with this latest project," said William B. Johnson, Executive Vice President for KONE Greater China. "At KONE, our mission is to improve the flow of urban life. This project is an example of how we can do that at a site that is expected to be a bustling hub for business and commerce."

The developer for the project, which is expected to be completed in 2017, is Poly Property Group Co., Ltd.
