Honorees for WCOE Awards Gala Dinner Announced

WASHINGTON, March 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE) announced their honorees for WCOE's 30th Anniversary Gala Awards Dinner on March 31, 2014 as part of the Women Build America 2014 Annual Leadership Conference to be held at the historic Sewall-Belmont House and Museum in Washington, D.C.

The winners and their honors include:  The Honorable Carolyn Maloney, WCOE Advocate of the Year; Tamara Lundgren, WCOE Influential Woman in Business; Kiewit Infrastructure, WCOE Company of the Year; and, Carol Bionda, the WCOE Legacy Achievement Award.

"These women and companies who are being honored are turning the pages of history with their numerous contributions in business and service," said Lee Cunningham, President of WCOE.  "They are exceptional in their field and we are proud to give this honor of recognition."

WCOE will recognize the achievements of these influential women with presentation of the distinguished custom designed Mobius Award.

The Honorable Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), United States House of Representatives. Congresswoman Maloney was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1992. Congresswoman Maloney is the first woman to represent New York's 12th Congressional District.  

Ms. Tamara L. Lundgren, President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. (SSI).  Prior to joining SSI, Ms. Lundgren was an investment banker and partner in the Washington, DC law firm of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovellis). 

Ms. Joan Bradley Wages, President and CEO of the National Women's History Museum (NWHM) will deliver the keynote address at WCOE's Gala Dinner and accept the Mobius Award on behalf of the National Women's History Museum.
