Correction to company announcement no. 1 re. ATP acquisition of EACshares

Further to today's company announcement no. 1 we wish to inform that
The East Asiatic Company Ltd. A/S has received the following
notification from ATP concerning an increase in EAC shares and voting
rights:
 
"With reference to the Danish Public Companies Act Section 28a and
the Danish Securities Trading Act Section 29, we hereby inform you
that ATP and ATP Invest after its acquisition of EAC shares on 18
November 2008 now holds 5.07 per cent of the share capital and voting
rights in the East Asiatic Company Ltd. A/S (A/S Det Østasiatiske
Kompagni).
 
As of 18 November 2008 the portfolio of ATP and ATP Invest amounts to
713,602 shares of DKK 70.- corresponding to a total nominal amount of
DKK 49,952,140.-."
