COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorado Technical University (CTU), a leading provider of education for career-motivated students, has launched a Saturday Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program at its Colorado Springs campus. Class enrollment ends Sunday, April 6.

The Saturday MBA program, which is the first-of-its-kind to be offered in the Colorado Springs area, is designed to help busy or working students receive an educational foundation in accounting, finance, marketing and human resources to develop skills necessary to progress in today's business environment. The program follows the same courses and curriculum as CTU's online MBA program, which is ranked among the top 10 online MBA programs in the world, according to CEO Magazine, a publication of the International Graduate Forum.

"We recognize that students have many obligations with family and careers during the week. By offering a hands-on Saturday MBA program, we aim to help students make their Saturdays more productive while giving them the knowledge and skills needed to advance in their careers," said Dr. Tim Gramling, president of CTU Colorado campuses.

Students benefit from taking three courses every Saturday per quarter and will have the ability to complete their degree in 12 months. Courses include: Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making, Applied Managerial Accounting, Strategic Management in Dynamic Environments and Strategic Human Capital Management.

Classes are taught by CTU faculty members, many with professional careers in accounting, human resources and marketing industries, bringing real-world insights and perspectives into the classroom.

For those interested in learning more about the Saturday MBA program, CTU Colorado Springs will host an MBA Spotlight Event on Wednesday, March 12 from 5 to7 p.m. on campus at 4435 North Chestnut St., Colorado Springs.  The event, which is open to the public, will be led by Dr. Tim Gramling and CTU's vice president of academic affairs Dr. Kristy Smith. Refreshments will be provided by CTU.
