1. An excellent management team of Mark Child, Jim Mellon and Roger Davey. 2. The high grade of gold. The 2,497,000 million ounces in Nicaragua is at 4.6 g/t 3. Nicaragua is a mining friendly country with several established gold mines and the World Bank has recognized that Nicaragua is now the top location in Central America for investor protection. The exploration and mining licences held by CNR were awarded for a 25 year period. Despite the presence of B2Gold in the country with two operating mines and over 100k oz pa production, it is CNR that has by far the biggest resource in Nicaragua. 4. CNR now has a maiden open pit resource of 977,000 oz at a very high grade (for open pit) of 3.7 g/t. B2Gold, which operates a 100k oz pa open pit nearby, has an average open pit grade of 1.8g/t and operational costs of $500/oz. The NI 43-101 report suggests open pit costs of circa $350/oz (maybe higher when stripping costs are included) and circa $540 per underground oz. CNR will continue to target another one or two open pits and if successful La India District will probably host a 200k oz pa (open pit) mill and will become increasingly attractive to the big producers. Recent results from trenching on the America vein set were most encouraging. 17m at 6.05g/t gold in trench LITR122, 30m at 2.64g/t gold in trench LITR123, 16m at 2.51g/t gold in trench LITR125, 10m at 3.47g/t gold in trench LITR131, These are much better than the corresponding trenching on the India vein which ultimately led to a 977k oz high grade open pit.The best results from the India vein (800m long strike) were 4.6m @ 6.29g/t and 15m @1.05g/t. The results from the trenching from the America vein over a strike length of 500m (open along strike) quite simply leave the India/California results in the shade! 5. CNR's recent drilling has been highly successful, not only returning some bonanza grades, but also in terms of the ounces returned per metre drilled. The industry average is 250,000 oz per 5000m drilled or 354,000 oz per the 7090m drilled by CNR. The rate of return at La India has been 525,387 oz per 5000m - more than double the industry average. The last 7090m drilling campaign cost around $1.1 million and resulted in 750,000 new ounces (of which 500k were Indicated). That works out at around $1.4 per ounce. Soviet exploration estimated 2.4 million oz in the District but CNR has been exceeding the Soviet figures by more than 50%. CNR has since made several new discoveries and has has just purchased the exciting La Mojarra concession which may contain the' feeder system' for the District. Mark Child has talked about the District being an 'enormous' goldfield and of the likelihood of it hosting '4 to 5 million oz'. 6. Good local infrastructure with a main road, water, cheap labour and power lines nearby. 7. Edison value CNR's revised resource at £4.12 a share.

12:59 #42776  In my opinion we are currently a take over target having passed the important 2 million oz mark to stand at around 2.4 million oz at La India. Many of the big producers will only look at explorers with 2 million oz +. However, the likely publication of a PEA in H1 2013 will put us firmly on the radar of the big producers as it will confirm the very low operational costs of our current large high grade open pit resource ( 977k oz @ 3.7g/t) as well as (hopefully) a second high grade open pit on the America vein set.

MC has in the past talked about selling for around $200 an oz.. If we look at last year's Extorre deal that now looks more and more credible. Extorre went for around $168 an oz for their 2.4 million oz resource which combined small open pits with high grade underground mining in Argentina. Politically Nicaragua looks a better bet than Argentina at present so the fact that Extorre received $168 is encouraging.

At the current rate of return from our drilling and particularly if we once again get many new ounces from within the old mine workings (of the America vein this time) it is very likely that in about another four to five months' time we will be well past 3 million oz. Just based on economies of scale that should ensure that we command around the $200 an oz level, although it is worth remembering that Ventana and Fronteer Gold were sold last year for $350 and $400 an oz respectively at a time when gold was nearer to $1400.

3 million oz at $200 per oz and 33.5 million shares in issue = £11.19 per share.

3.5 million oz at $200 per share and 35 million shares in issue = £12.50 per share

1. There are only 33.4 million shares in issue and the M'Cap is just £54 million, so despite the current 162p share price the company is still significantly discounted. With so few shares in issue the sp is likely to move quickly on the back of good news. Mark Child owns more than 10% of the company so has plenty of 'skin in the game'

2. CNR has 2.4 million oz of high grade gold (over 4g/t) in one location (760k oz of Indicated). All of the vein sets are within 1.5km of a proposed central mill.

3. CNR will be doing 14,000m of fully funded drilling this year to increase the resource to 3 million oz+ and to increase the amount of Indicated ounces via infill drilling. About 5000m has already been completed and the results should now start coming through on a regular basis.

4. The high grade of gold, which will be extractable mainly by open pit, is forecast to be very cheap to produce and CNR's operational costs will be in the lower quartile.

5. CNR already has the biggest resource in mining friendly Nicaragua, despite the presence of B2Gold, which is well established in the country and is also highly profitable. CNR's La India district holds at least 5 million ounces, but probably a lot more and the broker Ocean Equities has suggested that although CNR already has a 2.4 million oz resource, the company has just been' chiselling at the tip of the (gold) iceberg at La India'.

6. A PEA should be produced this year (possibly in H1) and that should confirm a NPV for the project well in excess of £12 per share. A 150k oz pa operation looks feasible at this stage, following the completion of the drilling on the two main vein sets and with costs likely to be well below $500 per oz and a current gold price of $1666 per oz the project is set to be highly economic. Once the PEA is published CNR will be a genuine take-over target for one of the big producers who will not ignore the size of the project and the outstanding economics at a time when they are finding it harder and harder to replenish their reserves - particularly with high grade open pit ounces.
