NEW YORK, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced that registration is open for its free annual Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Work Plan webinar on April 11, 2017. With guidance from two Wolters Kluwer leading legal experts, attendees will gain insights into specific strategies for responding to the Mid-Year Update to the annual Work Plan, including a quick preview of Wolters Kluwer's exclusive OIG Work Plan risk assessment questions sets – developed by the speakers.

With the OIG's introduction of a Mid-Year Update to its annual Work Plan, traditionally released every autumn, organizations are now required to respond to new or revised areas of focus introduced by the OIG in the spring. To further aid professionals in meeting the new requirements, Wolters Kluwer's legal and compliance experts have developed unique question sets – for use by practitioners – that track each of the new areas of focus identified in the Mid-Year Update.

The webinar is a timely and convenient way for professionals to gain additional guidance and insight on how to best handle new developments and challenges presented by the Mid-Year Update. The webinar will be led by Wolters Kluwer healthcare compliance analysts Lynne Rinehimer, Esq. and Darci L. Friedman, Esq.

"Healthcare providers are already struggling to keep up with changing regulations, and this has become even more challenging now that the OIG releases two Work Plans each year," said Friedman. "The webinar will focus on strategies for managing new project areas introduced in the Mid-Year Update and on a continuum of risk framework for successfully navigating the demands of the Work Plan as a whole."

In addition to the deep dive into the Work Plan, the program will briefly review Wolters Kluwer's exclusive OIG question sets, explore how organizations can quickly and easily assess risk, and determine how legal and compliance professionals can best focus their attention using the ComplyTrack solution.
