NORTH CANTON, Ohio, Feb. 23, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR; www.timken.com) is helping fund the futures of 20 students in pursuit of careers ranging from engineering and business to medicine and the arts. In an awards ceremony today, the company presented college scholarships to the children of Timken employees in the United States, China, India, Canada, France and the Netherlands. Since the Timken Global Scholars Program's inception in 1958, The Timken Company Charitable and Educational Fund has awarded more than $26 million in scholarships to 835 students.

Timken, Jr. "The Timken Global Scholars Program is one way we support stronger communities and recognize the achievements of employees and their exceptional students."
Aidan Byers, son of manager of technical development John Byers and Tina Byers, earned the Henry Timken Scholar Award, valued at $25,000 annually and renewable for up to three years. Aidan is a senior at Green High School in Green, Ohio, and plans to study biomedical engineering or pre-med at The Ohio State University or University of Akron.
Aidan is the captain of his high school's varsity swim team and works and volunteers at his local YMCA where he won Volunteer of the Year in 2022. He is also an active member of his high school's band, for which he's held multiple leadership positions and earned six awards.
Haley Steppler, daughter of CNC specialist Adam Steppler and Bethany Mallett, received the Jack Timken Scholar Award, valued at $20,000 annually and renewable for up to three years. Haley is a senior at Prince George Secondary School in Prince George, Canada. She plans to attend the College of New Caledonia to study criminology and eventually attend law school to become a family lawyer.
