Tantech Holdings Ltd. CEO Elected as Vice Chair of the Newly Formed New Energy Vehicle Alliance of Zhejiang Province

LISHUI, China, April 18, 2016

More than 500 attendees participated in the inaugural ceremony which was held in Hangzhou City on April 15, 2016 and elected the Alliance's first board of executors. Mr. Wang and 13 other new energy vehicle industry leaders in Zhejiang Province were elected to serve as vice chairs of the Alliance. The Alliance's mission is to promote rapid adoption of new energy vehicles and to improve collaboration and integration across the value chain.  

Mr. Wang delivered a keynote address at the inaugural ceremony and shared the vision of transforming the Company from a bamboo-based charcoal products manufacturer to a vertically integrated new energy vehicle manufacturer with businesses in charcoal materials, batteries, powertrain, and specialty new energy vehicles in coming years. Mr. Wang also signed cooperation agreement with governmental officials of Binjiang District, Hangzhou City to formally launch Tantech New Energy Vehicle Institute, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company to lead its efforts in advancing technology along the new energy vehicle value chain.
