Seeing Machines Opens New U.S. Office and Adds Top Tech Talent

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 15, 2015

Seeing Machines uses advanced detection and prevention safety assistance technologies to track eye and facial movement in order to monitor fatigue, drowsiness and distraction events, like texting or microsleeps as they occur, while providing for a real-time intervention strategy, which improves operator, driver and environmental safety, preserves assets, and reduces risk. The company is making both human and capital investments in the North American market in order to accelerate growth in a multitude of sectors.

David Nagy serves as Senior Vice President of Product Management. Mr. Nagy's experience includes software strategy, design, and marketing in a 20+ year career in Silicon Valley. He has a diverse background in multiple markets including manufacturing, retail and distribution, consumer goods, transportation and logistics, finance, and consumer products, and has developed many successful products at Apple, Evernote, Dell Wyse, and startups acquired by Motorola, Symbol Technologies and Trimble.

Mr. Nagy is responsible for Seeing Machines' product management, marketing, and OEM business development. In addition, he works closely with the CFO and SVP of Sales to establish financial goals while developing go-to-market plans.

Buzz Dean is Seeing Machine's Senior Vice President, Engineering. Mr. Dean is a veteran in software and hardware engineering with deep experience in Silicon Valley technology scene. He began his career with 14 years at Apple where he innovated and developed client software products for the then-burgeoning Internet. From there, Mr. Dean went on to work for cutting-edge tech companies including Intrinsa (acquired by Microsoft), Chemdex/Ventro, Akimbo Systems, Volo Media and Efficient Water Consulting.

Mr. Dean is working directly with Mr. Nagy and the company's CTO to drive innovation across the suite of products and emerging technologies. Mr. Dean is responsible for leading the full product development life cycle as well as representing the technical team and initiatives, in collaboration with the CEO, during board and investor meetings, as well as industry-related events.
