NEW YORK, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Juan Monteverde, founder and managing partner at Monteverde & Associates PC, a boutique securities firm headquartered at the Empire State Building in New York City announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Mazor Robotics Ltd. (NasdaqGM: MZOR) ("Mazor Robotics" or the "Company") on behalf of purchasers of the Company's securities between November 8, 2016 and June 8, 2017, inclusive (the "Class Period").
The lawsuit is based on whether Mazor Robotics and its executives violated federal securities law by misleading investors by making false and/or misleading statements regarding the Company's business, operational and compliance policies that subjected it to an Israeli Securities Authority ("ISA") investigation.
On June 8, 2017, Mazor Robotics disclosed that in May 2017, the ISA searched its offices and questioned some of its officers in connection with an ISA investigation. When this news was released, the Company's stock price fell materially, which harmed investors according to the Complaint.
