EVN offers a one-stop shop for electricity, gas, heat, drinking water supply and wastewater treatment, and thermal waste treatment based on state-of-the-art infrastructure in its home market.
Furthermore, the product range includes the operation of networks for cable TV and telecommunications as well as the offer of various energy services for private and business customers as well as for municipalities.
The energy business abroad includes the sale of electricity to end customers in Germany, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia, the sale of gas to end customers in Croatia, as well as electricity production in North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Germany. Other activities include heat production and sale to end customers in Bulgaria, the procurement of electricity, gas, and other primary energy carriers, as well as the trading of electricity and gas on wholesale markets.
With the acquisition of a German environmental services group in 2003, EVN was able to establish the environmental business as a second strategic pillar and integrate it into its business model. With over 100 environmental projects, EVN has comprehensive expertise in the planning and construction of drinking water supply and wastewater treatment plants, desalination, and thermal waste and sludge treatment plants.
Around 4.9 million customers trusted EVN for the safe supply of energy and environmental products and services in the 2022/23 financial year.
The EVN Group is currently active in 14 countries. In the 2022/23 financial year, 52.8% of revenue outside Austria was generated in the markets of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe (previous year: 63.5%).
