LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As parents and kids across the country get ready to go back to school, Evite, the world's leading digital platform for bringing people together, is helping them celebrate with a throwback to those oh-so-awkward school photos. Evite today launched a partnership with Awkward Family Photos for a Back to School photo contest with a $1,000 prize.

Evite is inviting everyone to share their awkward school photos in the #AwkwardAwards photo contest for a chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card. The contest runs through the month of August, with the photo submission period lasting from August 1–13, 2017, and voting running from August 14–31, 2017.

Evite employees are also joining in the fun by sharing their own awkward school photos in a video posted on Evite.com, social media, and accompanying this release.

"We are happy to partner with Awkward Family Photos for a contest that we hope will inspire our customers to get excited about the start of school," said Kristy Gharabally, Director of Corporate Communication of Evite.
