CLERMONT, Fla., Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DealerStar is giving dealerships more access to valuable information for their fixed operations by enhancing its dealer management system (DMS) with myCarfax Service Shop tools. "DealerStar DMS is focused on increasing profits for our dealers," said Sandi Jerome, president of DealerStar DMS. "Creating a tight integration with myCarfax at no charge to our dealers helps them streamline their operations and boost their revenues. The enhanced DealerStar DMS delivers more value to our users without any added expense."

Carfax Service History Check shows a vehicle's reported maintenance history. Armed with this information, service technicians can make better service recommendations to their customers which, when combined with other myCarfax benefits like Carfax QuickVIN, helps avoid parts-ordering errors, increases ticket averages and ultimately, fixed ops revenues.

In addition, myCarfax Service Shops that register their customers for the free myCarfax.com vehicle maintenance service are automatically stored as the customers' favorite shop. Through the myCarfax.com mobile app or desktop version, customers get alerts when it's time for their next recommended maintenance visit, directing them back to their favorite shop.

"The key to repeat sales and profitability is getting our customers back into the shop on a regular basis," said Ryan Pierson, owner of Crossway Auto Center. "Having access to the myCarfax tools through DealerStar and getting customers signed up with myCarfax.com is definitely helping increase loyalty. Plus, our customers love the myCarfax.com app!"
