Korean Government initiatives create huge market for Hydrogen Fuel Injection BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - September 18, 2007) - The following corrects and replaces the release sent on September 17, 2007 at 11:00 am ET, for Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies. The complete and corrected release follows. Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: HYHY) President Ira Lyons announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Winner Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of propane fuel injection products in the light and heavy truck markets in Korea. Under this MOU, Winner will immediately begin the process of pursuing the necessary government approvals for the use of HHT's world-leading Hydrogen Fuel Injection (HFI) technology in Korea. HHT will also work with Winner to identify potential cost savings through local sourcing of components as part of it's ongoing commitment to making HFI the most cost-effective emissions control and fuel savings product line. HFI technology is installed as an add-on to diesel and gasoline engines where it significantly reduces a wide variety of emissions (CO, PM, HC, CO2 and NOx) while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption by a minimum of 10%. HFI units are being used by over 150 fleets of long-haul transport trucks, ambulances, municipal buses and other heavy equipment, earning HFI the dominant position as the world's most widely-used on-board electrolysers. The technology is based on electrolysis and the units split water, on-board the vehicle, then vent the hydrogen and oxygen directly into the air intake of the engine. Adding hydrogen significantly improves the efficiency of combustion, in the engine, with significant financial and environmental benefits. HFI is distributed through the world's largest retail distribution network for any hydrogen product, with over 140 Certified Installation Centres all across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Recently, geographical distribution has been expanded and units are installed in Europe, South America and China. The product is the first emission control technology to receive "Environmental Technology Verification" (ETV) by the Canadian government and the first hydrogen technology to receive ETV recognition anywhere in the world. Company President, Ira Lyons, said "Korea has adopted some of the most progressive emissions control regulations in the world and, by the end of 2007, another 360,000 trucks will need retrofitting to meet these tough new standards. With the help of Winner Ltd., we are confident that our HFI products will be added to the list of acceptable technologies and will gain a large share of this important retrofit market". "In the longer term, the fact that Winner Ltd. is an established vendor, with experience dealing with all the Korean Original Equipment Manufacturers will accelerate the rate at which partnerships with Korean truck, bus and car makers will be developed", Lyons added.
