TUCSON, Ariz. and HERMOSILLO, Mexico, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Silver Scott Mines, Inc. (OTC: SILS.pk) is pleased to announce the initiation of construction at the Carmen mine and processing site. Construction with heavy equipment has been focused working there for about 2 weeks preparing leach pad and ponds. Additionally, the Merrill-Crowe gold silver recovery plant and other plant equipment has been moved to the site ready for set-up.
Plans for the site for the remainder of the year include processing about 80,000 tonnes of mineralized rock using contractor mining with portable crushers. The Carmen mine permit was approved in late July of this year by Semarnat, the Mexican Federal environmental agency in charge of mine permitting.
Mel Herdrick, QP and Registered Geologist, Chief Geologist for the company commented, "The direction of Silver Scott Mines is now clearly defined. Our immediate goal is production of gold and silver from our Carmen mine. In addition the company remains focused with the objective of ongoing exploration of our Mexican projects.
