Babson Capital Corporate Investors Declares Quarterly Dividend of $0.30 per Share

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 22, 2015

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Babson Capital Corporate Investors (the "Trust") Board of Trustees met today. The Trust's Trustees declared a quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share payable on August 14, 2015 to shareholders of record on August 3, 2015. The Trust paid a dividend of 30 cents per share in the preceding quarter.

The Trust's Trustees determined that the Trust's net asset value as of June 30, 2015 was $293,410,574 or $14.97 per share based on 19,600,460 shares outstanding. As of June 30, 2014, the Trust's net assets were $287,553,809 or $14.77 per share based on 19,465,026 shares outstanding. As of March 31, 2015, the Trust's net assets were $293,255,436 or $14.99 per share based on 19,567,332 shares outstanding.

The Trustees also announced that the Trust's net investment income for the three months ended June 30, 2015 was $5,440,072 or $0.28 per share, of which approximately $503,730 or $0.03 per share represented income due to nonrecurring items. Net investment income for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 was $5,430,279 or $0.28 per share. For the previous quarter ended March 31, 2015, net investment income was $5,449,489 or $0.28 per share. Net investment income for the six months ended June 30, 2015 was $10,889,562 or $0.56 per share, compared with $11,367,610 or $0.59 per share for the comparable period in 2014.

During the quarter ended June 30, 2015, net capital losses of $1,986,456 or $0.10 per share were realized by the Trust (compared to $3,099,330 or $0.16 per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2014), bringing 2015 year-to-date net realized capital gains to $1,138,537 or $0.06 per share. During the previous quarter ended March 31, 2015, net capital gains of $3,124,992 or $0.16 per share were realized by the Trust.

The market price of Babson Capital Corporate Investors as of June 30, 2015 was $16.07, which equates to a 7.35% premium over the June 30, 2015 NAV per share. The Trust's average quarter-end premium for the 3, 5 and 10-year periods was 10.68%, 15.84% and 12.65%, respectively.
