NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

Suspect Detection Systems Inc. (OTCBB: SDSS), (SDSS.PK), a developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, today announced that it has won a bid in India to sell multiple COGITO units and provide 5 year maintenance (recurrent revenues). The customer is India State Police in one of India's largest states.

The sale is a result of the success demonstrated by other COGITO units that are operative in India for the last few years that, among other usages, helped solving gang rapes:

Mr. Gil Boosian, SDSS's CEO is reporting large boost in interest at the COGITO solution. "The recent multiple cases of gang rapes in India are definitely a catalyst," said Mr. Boosidan.

This technology not only detects hostile intent which is its primary function but also takes the biometric fingerprints and voice signature. A suspect caught, even after 5 years and trying to mislead authorities by camouflaging his voice cannot escape the system due to its powerful voice recording capability. The unique capability of this system is that it tests the reaction of the suspect when a set of questions are asked and makes an analysis of the nervous system. It has 15 parameters based on how the exact intent of the suspect is judged. The COGITO will not only acknowledge the suspects involvement but will also help demarcate the level of involvement as whether the suspect is financing the crime, is aware of the logistics of the crime or is the executer of the terrorist and criminal activities.

Suspect Detection Systems CEO Gil Boosidan comments "Our Company's proprietary anti-terror and anti-crime technology is designed to identify threats in real-time, and prevent incidents before they are carried out. The technology detects the hidden 'hostile intent' of assailants before they commit their intended acts with a remarkable degree of accuracy. We believe that the recent India gang rapes could have been solved much faster had they used the COGITO.
