Deutsche Bank AGDBK.XE +1.08% has hired a senior technology manager at Fannie Mae as its new chief information officer and head of operations for corporate & investment banking, the bank said Tuesday.
Pascal Boillat, who is currently head of operations and technology at the mortgage-financing company, starts in February, joins Deutsche amid a corporate shakeup aimed in part at retooling its IT infrastructure.. He will be based in New York until the end of 2016, when he is expected to move to the bank’s London office.

Spending Bill Rocks 'Sex and Violence' Part of Ackman's Portfolio

He reaffirmed his position during CNBC's Delivering Alpha conference in July and said the position has "the most upside and probably has the most downside of anything we own." He added that the downside is unlikely. Even so, Ackman admitted that, given the risks, Fannie Mae represents the "sex and violence" part of his portfolio.

Although shares in Fannie Mae popped following Ackman's appearance at Delivering Alpha, they are down 23.7% since mid-July and trading at $1.75.

"Fannie and Freddie are really the only way to have a housing finance system in the U.S. with low-cost mortgages for middle-class borrowers," Ackman said at Delivering Alpha.

es sind schon wiederholt parallele Entwickllungen der Kurse WMIH - Fannie hier im Forum festgestellt worden. Nach wie vor ist WMIH daran interessiert durch eine - wie auch immer geartete - Fusion? mit einem anderen Gewinne einfahrenden Unternehmen die eigenen Steuererstattungen (NOLs) zu realisieren. Also nicht so ganz abwegig.

Sie wollen das Risiko reduzieren... Das ist einmal sicher nicht verkehrt. Schauen wir mal wie lange es dauen wird bis sie sagen, dass der Staat sich schrittweise zurückziehen kann. Hoffentlich noch im letzten Obamas Jahr.
