EOS imaging (Paris:EOSI)(Euronext, FR0011191766 – EOSI), the pioneer in 2D/3D orthopedic medical imaging, hosted a symposium, ‘spineEOS: simulating and planning spine surgery from weight-bearing 3D patient images’, today at the Prague Congress Centre. The 51st Annual Meeting and Course organized by Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) was an opportunity to showcase the latest advancements in the spineEOS 3D simulation and planning application.

Professors Lawrence Lenke (Columbia Orthopaedics, New York, NY), Peter Newton (Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, CA), Stefan Parent (CHU Sainte-Justine, Montreal, Canada) and Brice Ilharreborde (Hôpital Robert Debré, Paris, France) have been associated with the development and testing of the spineEOS solution over the past year. The symposium was the first opportunity to present the latest version as well as the advantages of 3D planning, retrospective studies and several complex adults and pediatric case studies.

Marie Meynadier, CEO of EOS imaging, said, “We are fortunate to work with some of the best talent in spine surgery as we continue to make advancements to the EOS platform. It was exciting to see how leading spine surgeons embrace the capabilities of the spineEOS 3D planning solution and examples of where the software was a critical part of making the right treatment decision. We are proud and happy to contribute to the progress of the quality of spine surgery with simulation and planning that takes into account the full 3D anatomy of the patient.”
