The first graf should read: Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. announced today that through its subsidiary LCPI it has completed the purchase of the entire remaining stake in Archstone ("the Company") held by affiliates of Bank of America and Barclays Bank PLC ("the Banks"), giving Lehman full ownership of the Company. Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. announced today that through its subsidiary LCPI it has completed the purchase of the entire remaining stake in Archstone ("the Company") held by affiliates of Bank of America and Barclays Bank PLC ("the Banks"), giving Lehman full ownership of the Company.
This transaction follows Lehman's purchase in January 2012 of a 26.5% interest previously held by the Banks. Both acquisitions were made to protect and preserve the value of the Archstone enterprise.
