DNO International ASA                             ("DNO" or "the Company")    DNO is today reporting final results from the testing of Yaalen-3 , in the                                Republic of Yemen. The second test in Yaalen-3  flowed 2 ,650  barrels of oil per day (bopd). As the first test flowed 1.400  bopd, the aggregated flow rate from the two tests is 4 ,050  bopd. The test rate from both tests intervals were restricted by the capacity of the down hole electrical pump used during the test, and the Company expects that the aggregated flow capacity of the well is in the order of 10 ,000  bopd. As previously reported, the Yaalen-3  appraisal well in Block 47  encountered two oil bearing intervals in the Qishn sandstones, of a total combined net thickness of around 20  meters ("net pay").  Two tests have been undertaken in the well, one in each of the oil bearing intervals. The first test was undertaken in the lowermost interval.  This interval flowed around 1 ,400  bopd, with no water.  The second test, which was undertaken in the uppermost interval flowed 2 ,650  bopd.  The flow rates were restricted by the electrical down hole pump used during the tests.  Based on the flow and pressure data observed during the two tests, it is anticipated that the initial aggregated flow capacity of this well is in the order of 10 ,000  bopd.  No formation water was observed during the test, and the well proved the thickness of the reservoir to be larger than expected. The gross combined reserve potential of the Yaalen / Sharnah oil discoveries was estimated at 10  million barrels prior to the drilling of the Yalen-3  well.  Work will now be undertaken to incorporate the Yaalen-3  results into the geological model.  Based on the observations to date, it is expected that the reserve potential of the Yaalen structure will increase, hence the reserves basis for the Yaalen / Sharnah field development project is expected to improve. Drilling of the Yaalen-3  appraisal well was part of the work program in preparation for a development of the Yaalen and Sharnah oil discoveries in the block.  With the positive results observed in Yaalen-3 , DNO intends to accelerate the development of this area, with possible first oil production in the third quarter of 2011.   DNO holds a 40  % interest in block 47. Ölpreis weiter schwach

Liebe Leser,  
beim Thema Öl denken in diesen Tagen fast alle nur an das BP-Desaster im Golf von  Mexiko. Aber auf der anderen Seite verliert der Ölpreis seit einigen Wochen stark an Wert.  So hat der Preis für die Nordseesorte Brent seit dem 26.  April um knapp 21 % nachgegeben.  Erstmals seit Oktober 2009  kostet ein Barrel Rohöl mit gut 68  Dollar wieder deutlich  weniger als 70  Dollar. Auf Jahressicht fällt die Bilanz beim Öl bislang nicht sehr positiv aus:  Hier steht ein Minus von rund 12 % zu Buche.  Doch der aktuell niedrige Ölpreis gibt den wahren Wert des Rohstoffes nicht wieder.  Mittelfristig gibt es für den Ölpreis nur einen Weg: nach oben. Schon jetzt ist klar, dass die  Zeiten des einfach zu fördernden Öls vorbei sind. Und hier schließt sich auch wieder der  Bogen zu BP. Bei der verunglückten Ölplattform handelt es sich um ein Tiefsee-Ölprojekt im Golf von Mexiko. Doch vor Brasilien sind noch viel schwierigere Projekte in der  Vorbereitung. Dort soll Öl aus Tiefen von 5.000 m und mehr gefördert werden. Sollte es da  einmal zu einem ähnlichen Unfall kommen, wird es noch um ein Vielfaches schwieriger, dort auftretende Lecks zu schließen.  Schon jetzt stößt BP bei dem aktuellen Leck an die Grenzen des technisch Machbaren. Sehr  oft fiel in diesen Tagen von BP die Äußerung, dass spezielle Methoden noch nicht in solchen  Tiefen angewendet worden sind. Bisher hat es nur kleine Teilerfolge gegeben und noch  fließen tagtäglich  800.000  Liter Rohöl in den Golf von Mexiko. So ist der Schaden für die  Umwelt und auch für den Ölkonzern noch nicht überschaubar.  Aber für die Zukunft ist auch klar: Wir sind auf solche technisch anspruchsvolle Ölprojekte  weiterhin angewiesen. Anders wird es nicht möglich sein, den ständig steigenden  weltweiten Ölbedarf zu decken. Schon heute ist der Bedarf mit rund 80  Mio. Barrel so groß, dass man sich das kaum vorstellen kann. Versuchen wir es dennoch. Würde man die Ölfässer aneinander stellen, dann ergäbe sich bei 80  Mio. Fässern eine Länge von rund  45.600  km.  Das ist mehr als die Länge des Äquators, die nur rund nur rund  40.000  km beträgt. Diese  unvorstellbare Menge Öl wird Tag für Tag weltweit verbraucht. Dabei verbrauchen wir  aktuell rund drei Mal so viel Öl wie tatsächlich neu gefunden wird- und das trotz der immer aufwendigeren Methoden bei der Erkundung neuer Lagerstätten.  Auf der anderen Seite werden wir in den kommenden Jahren ein enormes  Nachfragewachstum in China und Indien erleben. Aktuell verbraucht China rund 8  Mio.  Barrel pro Tag und das mit einer Bevölkerung von 1 ,3  Mrd. Menschen. Umgerechnet sind  das 2 ,2  Barrel pro Person. In den USA liegt der Vergleichswert bei 24.  Sollte nun China  seinen eigenen Verbrauch nur auf 7  Barrel pro Tag und Einwohner steigern, das entspricht  ungefähr dem Verbrauch Mexikos, müssten 4 ,8  Barrel pro Tag und Einwohner dazukommen. Auf ein Jahr gerechnet entspräche das 6 ,4  Mrd. Barrel. So viel Öl ist einfach nicht  verfügbar. Das entspricht ungefähr 90 % der Menge die von den USA aktuell pro Jahr  verbraucht wird.  Und diese Rechnung bezieht sich nur auch China, wo der Motorisierungsgrad schon jetzt  deutlich höher ist als in Indien. Sollten sich auf dem indischen Subkontinent aber die Billig- Autos weiter ausbreiten, ist auch von dort mit einem massiven Nachfrageschub zu rechnen.  Bei diesen Zahlen wird deutlich, dass die aktuelle Schwäche des Ölpreises nur kurzfristiger  Natur ist. Mittel- bis langfristig wird der Ölpreis wieder deutlich steigen.

DNO International melder om en snittproduksjon på  12.478  fat olje  per dag på  såkalt working interest-basis i april, sammenlignet med  12.304  fat olje per  dag i mars. Jemen-produksjonen var 7.058  fat olje per dag på working interest- basis, mot  7.213  fat per dag i mars. Selskapet realiserte en snittpris på 87  dollar per fat i april.

Rohöl: Der Start in die neue Handelswoche fiel bei Aktien und damit auch bei Rohstoffen zunächst  relativ schwach aus.  Die Gründe hierfür sind nach wie vor dieselben: Europas Schuldenkrise und  der damit einhergehende Euro-Absturz in Kombination mit hohen Lagerreserven bei Rohöl. Um 12. 00  Uhr wurde der deutsche April-Auftragseingang für das verarbeitende Gewerbe  veröffentlicht. Er zeigte sich zwar etwas weniger dynamisch wie im März, mit einem Plus in  Höhe von 2 ,8  Prozent hat er die Erwartungen des Marktes dennoch deutlich übertroffen und zu  einer Stabilisierung an den Finanzmärkten beigetragen.  In den USA stehen am heutigen Nachmittag keine sonderlich wichtigen Konjunkturdaten an.  Angesichts der anhaltenden Unsicherheit an den Aktien- und Devisenmärkten könnte es im  weiteren Tagesverlauf dennoch zu signifikanten Kursbewegungen beim Ölpreis kommen. Am Montagnachmittag präsentierte sich der nächstfällige Future auf  WTI  mit relativ stabilen  Notierungen. Bis gegen 14.00  Uhr (MESZ) ermäßigte sich der Kontrakt um 0 ,20  auf 71 ,31  Dollar,  während sein Pendant auf  Brent  von 0 ,19  auf 72 ,28  Dollar anzog.   Nachricht vom  07.06.2010  | 14 :13

DNO RAK Petroleum foreslår Zalmay Khalilizad og Shelly Watson som nye medlemmer i  DNO-styret i forbindelse med  generalforsamlingen i  selskapet torsdag 17.  juni. RAK Petroleum eier 30  prosent av DNO. Visestyreformann Trygve Bruvik har informert styreformannen om at  han vil  fratre sin plass i styret.

June 18 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil rose above $77 a barrel as the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index increased to the highest level in a month and the dollar pared its gains against the euro.

Oil advanced for a second week, along with equities. The S&P 500 climbed amid volatility related to stock futures and options expiration. The dollar retreated after touching a three- week high against the euro, bolstering the appeal of commodities as an alternative investment.

“We’re following the stock market and we’re following the dollar,” said Phil Flynn, vice president of research at PFGBest in Chicago. “Oil has no personality of its own today. It’s just going to follow what everybody else does.”

Crude oil for July delivery gained 39 cents, or 0.5 percent, to settle at $77.18 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices have risen 8.1 percent in the past year. They increased 4.6 percent this week, the most in three weeks.

The variations in these sales are due to local demand factors. Marktbericht: Rohölpreis steigt wegen US-Forecast-Anpassung

Weil die US-Energy Information Administration ihren  weltweiten Ölnachfrage  Forecast rückwirkend nach oben anpasste, stiegen die  Röhölfutures um +2 ,9  % auf  74 ,07  Dollar je Barrel. Demnach soll bereits in 2010  und dann auch in 2011  die  Nachfrage nach Rohöl um 1 ,5  Mio. Barrels am Tag  zunehmen. Nun warten alle  Marktteilnehmer gespannt auf die heute zur  Veröffentlichung anstehenden  Schätzungen der EIA und des American Petroleum  Instituts. Der Gaspreis hingegen  sank um -2 ,5  %. Dies und die positiven  Erwartungen bezüglich der nächste Woche  beginnenden Quartalsberichtssaison  trieben den Dow wieder über die  10.000- er  Marke. Wobei manche auf dem Parkett  von einer technischen Reaktion sprachen,  weil der Markt überverkauft wäre. Der  Dow rauschte um +2 ,81  % ( 10-018)  nach  oben. Wie auch der Nasdaq um +3 ,13  %  (2.159).  Lediglich der marktbreite S&P 500  verlor mit -0 ,02  % (1.062)  leicht.

Rohstoffe IEA hebt Prognose für weltweite Ölnachfrage 2010  leicht an

13.07.10 , 11 :24  Uhr PARIS (Dow Jones)--Die Internationale  Energieagentur (IEA) hat ihre Prognose zur  globalen Ölnachfrage für das laufende Jahr  angehoben. Wie die Organisation am Dienstag  mitteilte, schätzt sie die Nachfrage für 2010  auf 86 ,5  Mio Barrel/Tag. (Foto: ddp) Das entspricht einer Steigerung im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 2 ,1 % und einer  leichten Anhebung gegenüber der Prognose des vorigen Monatsberichts. Für  das kommende Jahr rechnet die IEA mit einer Zunahme der Nachfrage um 1 ,6 % auf 87 ,8  Mio Barrel/Tag. Dabei geht die Agentur auf Grundlage von Daten des Internationalen Währungsfonds (IWF) von einem Wachstum der  Weltwirtschaft um 4 ,3 % im Jahr 2011  aus.

DNO Klokken 13.01  ble det innført børspause i DNO. Oslo Børs ønsket å  undersøke  kursutviklingen. Aksjen ble sist omsatt for 8 ,945  kroner, opp 7 ,32  prosent. Klokken 13.44  ble børspausen opphevet. Det vil være en pre-trading  frem  til 13.50.  Klokken 13.51  omsettes aksjen for 9  kroner, opp 7 ,98  prosent. Det  har ikke kommet noen nyheter fra selskapet. Klokken 14 :33  omsetes aksjen for 8 ,44  kroner, opp 1 ,26  prosent. Daily Telegraph skriver på sin hjemmeside at RAK Petroleum forsøker å  kjøpe  DNO for 11  kroner pr. aksje, og at det dessuten kan komme  motbud, melder  Reuters. I et intervju med TDN Finans sier selskapets kommunikasjonsdirektør  Tom  Bratlie at han ikke vil kommentere spekulasjonene om at RAK  Petroleum skal  være interessert i å legge bud på 11  kroner pr. aksje. Ingen shorting hos Nordnet og Netfonds –Det er mange spekulanter som har tatt posisjoner i DNO, enten den ene eller  andre veien. Vi i Nordnet har derimot ikke lånt ut noen aksjer til  shorting.  Hva andre har, vet ikke jeg, sier Nordnet-sjef Anders Skar til  HegnarOnline. –DNO er en aksje hvor det har vært høy belåning og høy aktivitet.  Etter den  siste stygge DNO-skrellen som fant sted for et halvt år  siden har vi ikke  tillatt shorting i DNO. Null shorting, sier Netfonds-sjef  Rolf Damman til  HegnarOnline. Omdal på ferie DNO-analytiker Trond Omdal er på ferie, og er ikke tilgjengelig for en kommentar. DNO I analysenytt fra Investtech beskrives DNO som dagens kjøpskandidat. – DNO International har brutt den stigende trenden, noe som i første  omgang  indikerer svakere stigningstakt. Aksjen har brutt et  motstandsnivå på kort  sikt og gitt kjøpssignal fra kortsiktig  tradingrange, skriver Investtech. – Aksjen har marginalt brutt opp gjennom motstanden ved ca 8.70  kroner.  Etablert brudd vil indikere videre oppgang. Positiv volumbalanse  styrker  aksjen på kort sikt. Aksjen anses samlet sett teknisk positiv  på middels  lang sikt. Middels lang sikt: Kjøpskandidat, avslutter  Investtech. I skrivende stund omsettes aksjen for 8 ,61  kroner, ned 1 ,49  prosent. Tirsdag  steg DNO-kursen kraftig  etter at Daily Telegraph i sin Talk from the  City-spalte i går skrev at RAK Petroleum har kommet med et bud  på 11  kroner  aksjen på DNO International. På det meste var kursen opp  12 ,7  prosent til  9 ,39  kroner, og Oslo Børs innførte børspause. Kursen  falt derimot tilbake  etter at DNO avviste at det var noe nytt å melde. Meglersjef Christian Hansen i Norne Securities sier til Finansavisen at ryktene fra den engelske avisen ikke høres særlig realistiske ut.

NO DNO hadde i juni en snittproduksjon på  23.477  fat olje per dag på working interest-basis, sammenlignet med  11.431  fat olje per dag i mai, opplyses det  i en melding. Produksjonen i andre kvartal var på  15.748  fat olje per dag, mot  12.442  fat  olje per dag i første kvartal. Produksjonen fra Jemen var 6.332  fat olje per dag i juni på working interest-basis, mens den i mai var 7.027  fat pwr dag. I snitt realiserte DNO en oljepris på 75  dollar per fat i juni, opp fra 73 dollar per fat i måneden før Jemen. Produksjonen fra Kurdistan var  17.145  fat olje per dag i juni på working interest-basis, mot 4.404  fat per dag i mai. - Den høye produksjonen i andre kvartal vil ha en positiv effekt på de finansielle resultatene for perioden. Selskapet venter å opprettholde juni-nivåene av oljeleveringer i Kurdistan også for juli.  August- produksjonen vil sannsynligvis bli lavere grunnet Ramadan. Ettersom den nåværende produksjonen i Kurdistan er basert på kortsiktige  leveringer,  kan lokalt salg i Kurdistan fortsette å vise betydelig  variasjoner fremover,  sier konsernsjef Helge Eide i en kommentar.

DNO International har hatt samtaler med Bank of America Securities,  Merrill  Lynch og SEB Enskilda om rådgivning etter at RAK Petroleum  skal ha gjort en  henvendelse om et bud på DNO på 11  kroner per  aksje, skriver Daily Telegraph  tirsdag, ifølge TDN Finans. Ifølge kildene er det ikke kjent om DNO faktisk har hyret  meglerhusene  formelt. Kilder sier til avisen også at Macquire har gitt rådgivning til RAK  Petroleum om et potensielt bud. "Det snakkes om, ifølge markedskilder, at RAK har budt 11  kroner pr  aksje  for DNO International", heter det. - Fra å være et binært case knyttet til eksporttillatelse eller  ei fra  Irak, er nå DNO blitt et oppkjøpscase da RAK Petroleum har kjøpt  30  prosent av selskapet. I de siste dagene har det kommet mer  spesifikke  oppkjøpsrykter som tilsier at RAK Petroleum vil by 11  kroner per aksje  og at både et koreansk og et USA-basert selskap  også skal være interessert  i DNO, uttalte Anne Gjøen i  Handelsbanken tidligere i sommer. - Det er vel å merke ofte rykter rundt DNO, men RAK Petroleum fikk nylig 2  styreplasser, og grunnen til DNOs gode kursutvikling relativt  til de fleste  små oljeselskaper i år er nok RAK Petroleums inntreden,  sa Gjøen. Based on a proposal from RAK Petroleum PCL and after consultation with other shareholders, the Board recommended to the AGM that Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad and Ms. Shelley Watson be elected as new members of the Board of Directors. DnB NOR: - Kjøp DNO! DNO International faller 0 ,8  prosent til 8 ,10  kroner i kjølvannet av  dagens  resultatfremleggelse. Inntekten var bedre enn ventet, men  nettoresultatet  kom inn under forventning på grunn av  nedskrivninger knyttet til aksjeposten  i Det norske oljeselskap og  Petrolia Drilling. DNO guider investeringer på  250-300  millioner kroner i andre halvår,  mot  134  millioner i først halvår. Foreløpige produksjonstall for juli er på rundt  27.000  fat pr dag på working interest-basis, mot en snittproduksjon på  23.478  fat i juni. Ifølge analytiker Trond Frode Omdal i Arctic Securities indikerer  tallene en  produksjon fra Kurdistan som er noe høyere enn juni- produksjonen. DNO regner med å selge Kurdistan-produksjonen lokalt til priser på  25-30  dollar  fatet. Gitt en salgspris på 25  dollar, mener Omdal  tallene indikerer en  kontantstrøm etter skatt på 50-60  millioner  kroner i måneden fra Kurdistan. "Fokuset bør være på om økningen i produksjonen og det lokale  salget i Kurdistan  er bærekraftig, og medfører bedret kontantstrøm.  Hvis vi ser at disse  produksjonsnivåene blir opprettholdt etter  Ramadan, vil det endre DNOs  investeringscase betydelig", skriver  Arctic Securities-analytikeren Arctic Securities har en kjøpsanbefaling på DNO og et kursmå pål 10 , 50  kroner.

DNO Q 2 2010 : Increased production volumes and satisfactory results

07 : 35 18.08.10 DNO International ASA achieved an EBITDA of NOK 171  million from total sales of NOK 285  million in the second quarter of 2010.  Both sales and EBITDA were up by 10  per cent from Q1  to Q2.  The improved results are mainly related to increased production. "We are satisfied with the financial results from our operations in the second quarter. The higher oil production and improved cash flow from operations enable us to plan for new project developments and increase exploration drilling going forward", says Managing Director Helge Eide. Cash flow from operations was NOK 183  million in the second quarter, bringing the cash position up to NOK 822  million by 30  June. DNO booked a non-cash impairment loss of NOK 199  million in the second quarter, mainly related to lower share price in Det norske oljeselskap ASA. DNO reports a working interest production of 27 ,279  bopd in July 2010 08 : 20 01.09.10 DNO's working interest production increased from 23 ,478  bopd in June to 27 ,279 bopd in July, and net entitlement production increased from 15 ,135  to 17 ,621 bopd. 2010 Due to expected seasonal effects, the working interest production for DNO decreased by 4.9  per cent from July to August. Working interest (WI) production in The Kurdistan Region of Iraq was 19 ,350  bopd in August, down from 20 ,790  bopd in July, whilst the WI production in Yemen was 6 ,595  bopd in August, up from ,489  in the previous month. As a result of the Eid celebration in the first half of this month, further decrease is expected in September. OSLO, Norway, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Norwegian energy company DNO International said it's redirected about 30 percent of its oil production in the Kurdish region of Iraq to the domestic market.

DNO said the move to redirect one-third of its production would help improve its overall revenue stream.

"We are very pleased to have been given the green light by the authorities to commence cash sales to the local market and at a price twice last year's levels," DNO President Helge Eide said in a statement.

The company said exports have declined because of ongoing "technical glitches" related to the oil pipeline system in northern Iraq. Exports average around 25,000 barrels of oil per day.

DNO said it signed contracts with three domestic buyers for around 675,000 barrels of oil from the Tawke and Bastora fields. The selling price was around $50 per barrel and daily deliveries for each contract were about 10,000 bpd. The company didn't specify the names of the domestic buyers.

DNO in June said the recoverable reserve estimate from the Tawke field stood at 636 million barrels of oil, up from the 305 million barrels estimated in 2010.

DNO and its partners started exports from Iraq in June 2009 but that was suspended briefly because of legal disputes between the Kurdish government and Baghdad.
