Gee ...charlien.....thats true....again, there has been so much in this  case to digest....I just was not able to connect the dots here ...as you  point out..!!   This is a Major event.....

no wonder rosie was whining like a baby....I did think Coffey was up to  something when he keep pressing Kosturos for a value for those D&O  claims and mentioning datapoints....but now you have enabled my eyes to  OPEN!! what was behind this line of questioning...and Kosturos played  right into his(Coffey's) hand when repeating he did not know of any  value...nor debtors ...nor any analysis to valuate these claims....AND  NOW WE ALL KNOW WHY!!!

zu den Kursmanipulationen bei LEHMQ ist das hier bei WAMUQ echt 'n Scheissdreck auf deutsch gesagt. Dort erfolgen, ich nenne es mal Kursanpassungen, mit wirklich Mini-Stückzahlen! Was aber noch viel dreister ist, diese Anpassungen richten sich nach den Ausschlägen der WAMUQ. Und dies beobachte ich nicht erst seit gestern.

Zwei Ereignisse werden hier mit sehr großer Wahrscheinlichkeit eintreten:

1. Starker Kursausschlag nach oben, entweder weil diverse Institutionen vor der Ausbuchung ihre Anteile nicht zu einem Ramschpreis hergeben wollen (dazu gab es hier übrigens einen sehr guten Beitrag, glaube letzte Woche) oder aber das Urteil wird gerecht ausfallen.

2. Lieferung von 20 Rothaus-Fässern zu noenough. Entweder gibt's eine WAMU-Abschieds- oder eine WAMU-Wiederauferstehungsparty im noenough-Reich.

@noenough: Punkt 2 solltest du schon ernst nehmen - ich spreche nur stellvertretend für den WAMU-Thread! ;-)

Ya know I always wondered about this....If somehow JPM used these proceeds to hand over to Bonderman/TPG to repay him for his $7bil cash injection just prior to WaMu's seizure???? and since JPM obtained this money from private investors could have been their strategy to keep the terms hidden from public eyes by just making this general label not having to provide full public disclosure on the terms and means for using the funds????

I will never understand TPG's/Bonderman's lack of interest in fighting for his lost investment in WaMu...and this certainly would explain why if indeed JPM raised these monies to just pay under the table to his friend Bonderman/TPG/HF...

she meant it, but I'm always a bit skeptical of her compliments. I told her I was surprised at how casual OCC's discussion of
NatCity was considering what may happen in the near term. Also I expressed again my surprise at how OCC and the FDIC
are treating Citi under the circumstances and said I expect the FDIC to treat all institutions similarly whether supervised by
OTS or OCC. She agreed, and said she needs to talk with Dugan about both Citi and NatCity. We'll see.
Thanks again for a great job. It is truly a pleasure for me to have people like Scott, Tim, and Darrel providing leadership at
OTS.

his folks to join us for a meeting at our office where we could include the FDIC. The purpose of the meeting
would be to discuss the various views of the institution's risk profile, current actions under consideration by the
FDIC, and possible capital considerations. We would control the meeting and ensure that we have no repeat of
the inappropriate behavior displayed by some of the FDIC in our last session with the bank.
This is my idea, not the FDIC's idea. It could be beneficial on a number of fronts. If, however, you are opposed to
it then please tell me and I will not move forward.
