New CEO for Orkla Home & Personal

Stig Ebert Nilssen (48) has been appointed Executive Vice President and CEO of the Orkla Home & Personal business area.

Stig Ebert Nilssen has been CEO of Axellus AS, which is part of Orkla Home & Personal, since 2005. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Collett Pharma and has held various senior management positions at Nycomed Pharma. Mr Nilssen has a degree from Oslo Handelshøyskole with finance and international marketing as in-depth study topics.

Mr Nilssen will be a member of Orkla's Group Executive Board and will report to Orkla President and CEO Åge Korsvold. He will take up his position as of today, taking over from Jan Ove Rivenes, who has headed Orkla Home & Personal and Orkla Confectionery & Snacks since the business areas were established on 9 January this year. Mr Rivenes was previously head of Orkla Brands Nordic from 2008 to 2013. In the period 2000-2008, he was CEO of Stabburet, and he has held management positions in a number of Orkla companies.

Stig Ebert Nilssen will also be head of Axellus during a transitional phase.


Orkla Home & Personal is one of five business areas in Orkla. At the end of 2012, the business area had a turnover of around NOK 4 billion and employed a work force equivalent to 1,787 man-years. Orkla Home & Personal currently comprises the companies Lilleborg, Lilleborg Profesjonell, Axellus Group and Pierre Robert Group.

In 2012, Orkla had a turnover of approximately NOK 30 billion. At year end, the company had 28,000 employees, about half of whom worked in the branded consumer goods business.
