Lincoln Financial Group Names Carrie Chelko Vice President And Chief Counsel Supporting Distribution

RADNOR, Pa., May 9, 2013

Her day-to-day responsibilities include managing a legal and compliance team, working with regulators to manage industry issues, and providing strategic advice and counsel to company executives.

Chelko will lead the legal and compliance area for Lincoln Financial Group Distribution (LFGD), the company's re-aligned distribution organization formed last October. The new structure, which is under the direction of Will Fuller, president of LFGD, combines into one organizational unit the company's retail and wholesale distribution systems. With her appointment, Chelko will also join Fuller's extended leadership team.

Chelko joins Lincoln Financial from Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, where she most recently served as deputy general counsel. She also previously worked as an associate at Philadelphia-based Saul Ewing LLP, and as a student law clerk to Hon. Louis H. Pollak, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Chelko holds a J.D. from the Temple University School of Law. She also graduated with honors from Grove City College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
