Velazquez, one of horse racing's most respected and highly-decorated jockeys will be at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. this weekend riding Verrazano in Saturday's Grade 1 Travers Stakes.  Velazquez has won over 5,000 races in his career representing over $293 million in purse winnings, including the Kentucky Derby in 2011 aboard Animal Kingdom and the Belmont Stakes in 2007 and 2012, aboard Rags to Riches and Union Rags respectfully.  Velazquez has won twelve Breeders' Cup stake races, and in 2004 and 2005 he was not only the United States Champion Jockey by earnings, but also awarded the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey.
