SAN DIEGO, Oct. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- XYZprinting, the world's leading 3D printing company, today announced  a partnership with Barnes & Noble, the leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products, to showcase XYZprinting's da Vinci Junior 1.0 3D printer. Barnes & Noble is also displaying the da Vinci Junior 1.0 at almost 650 stores nationwide, the largest-ever physical display in the 3D printing industry.

Educator Appreciation Days began on Saturday, October 10 and runs through this Sunday, October 18, at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide, as an exclusive preview to the upcoming Mini Maker Faire. During the special preview, XYZprinting and Barnes & Noble are demonstrating how to engage students in practical, real-life applications of 3D printing, and the collaborative learning environment 3D printing initiates in the classroom, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs. XYZprinting is also the leader of desktop consumer 3D printers, and is actively pursuing creative and stimulating tools for educators to integrate into their lesson plans.

"We are thrilled to be working alongside Barnes & Noble to share with educators across the country our innovative and collaborative 3D printing products, perfect for K-12 classrooms," said Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting. "We have diligently worked to lower the barriers for educators to access 3D printing hardware, and will continue to find solutions for teachers to incorporate 3D printing into their classes and curricula."

Barnes & Noble will also work closely with XYZprinting on the upcoming Mini Maker Faire, at stores nationwide from November 6 to 8, offering attendees a hands-on learning experience in areas such as ideation, creative thinking, art, design, construction and innovation, as well as programming and 3D printing. As a special guest speaker, Shen will speak to audiences in New York City on the opportunities and benefits 3D printing offers educators and students.

Educator Appreciation Days at Barnes & Noble is in full swing across the country and booksellers are eager to demo the da Vinci Junior 1.0 3D printer for educators. "This is an exciting and affordable product to offer schools and libraries that are building their Maker Spaces," said Kaori Suzuki Fischer, Community Business Development Manager at Barnes & Noble in West Melbourne, Florida. "We have gotten a lot of feedback on how good the price point is, and how cool it looks as we demo it."

The da Vinci Junior 1.0, which requires no assembly, is easy to operate and produces minimal noise, making it optimal for classroom use. The 3D printer is CE certified and has a completely enclosed area, offering a safe user experience for the youngest of innovators. Consumers purchasing a XYZprinting 3D printer will also have the benefit and safety of XYZprinting's one-year free warranty, supported by extensive online customer service and useful tutorials on YouTube.

XYZprinting's da Vinci Junior 1.0 recently received Tech & Learning magazine's Best of ISTE 2015 award and was awarded PC Mag's Best of CES award and TWICE's CES award.
