XL Catlin's Global Excess Casualty Insurance Business Adds Regional Resource in California

NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- XL Catlin's Global Excess Casualty insurance business continues to grow its book of commercial excess and umbrella business and its team in the US, with its latest addition of Joel J. Konczal as Assistant Vice President, Underwriting Manager – Northwest Excess Casualty. He will be based in San Francisco, CA and report to Matthew Stitham, Senior Vice President, Western Zone.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Stitham said, "Our consistent growth in the US continues to bring new business opportunities. Prior to joining XL Catlin, Mr. Konczal held various Excess Casualty underwriting positions at Chubb (formerly ACE) and Zurich where he completed their associate training program. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC and certifications as an Associate in Risk Management and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist.
