Voya Financial Named 2017 Outstanding Corporation by Association of Fundraising Professionals in Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 14, 2017

National Philanthropy Day is an event that publicly recognizes donors, volunteers and organizations whose gifts of time, expertise and resources contribute significantly to the community. Voya Financial was nominated by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Jacksonville.

One of the ways we do that is by leveraging the talent and passion of our employees, who dedicate their time to important organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities."   

Voya Financial encourages employee volunteerism by providing full-time employees with 40 hours of paid volunteer time each year and 20 hours of paid volunteer time for part-time employees. In addition, when an employee volunteers 50 hours or more of their personal time to an eligible nonprofit, Voya Foundation donates $500 to that organization. Voya Foundation will also match an employee's donation to an eligible nonprofit, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000 every year. 

"Since 2011, Voya Financial has supported Ronald McDonald Charities of Jacksonville through countless acts of volunteerism, corporate giving and their employee matching gift program," said Diane Boyle, executive director, RMHC of Jacksonville. "They are very deserving of this honor, and we are so pleased that they were selected to receive this prestigious award."

Voya's commitment to community is also demonstrated through the company's executive nonprofit board placement program, which gives leaders the opportunity to pursue interests that they're passionate about, while driving positive change in their communities. Nan Ferrara, Voya EVP, Operations and Continuous Improvement, joined the RMHC of Jacksonville board of directors earlier this year.
