NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) — a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality — administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. The 2018 Index marked the 13th consecutive year that Voya has received a perfect CEI score.

"Receiving a perfect score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index for the 13th consecutive year is an honor and reinforces our commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace," said Voya's Kevin Silva, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. "Our designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality enables us to further understand and connect with our increasingly diverse customer base, which is essential in our vision to be America's Retirement Company. Congratulations to all of the organizations who received this noteworthy recognition."

The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Voya's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria resulted in the 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
