PR Newswire

TORONTO, Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - SQI Diagnostics Inc. (TSX-V: SQD; OTCQX: SQIDF), a life sciences and diagnostics company that develops and commercializes proprietary technologies and products for advanced microarray diagnostics ("SQI" or the "Company"), today announced that it intends to extend the expiry of 2,965,000 outstanding common share purchase warrants ("the Warrants") of the Company, which were issued in connection with the Company's January 2014 private placement financing. The extension of the warrants was approved by members of the Board of Directors who are independent of this series of warrants.

Each Warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one common share of the Company at any time until the close of business on January 26, 2017 at an exercise price of $0.64 per common share, after giving effect to an adjustment arising from the Company's July 2016 rights offering, in accordance with the terms of the warrant. Subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, the Warrants will be amended, effective January 12, 2017, to extend the term of such Warrants until January 26, 2019.
