On June 6, 2017, HD Supply reported first quarter 2017 earnings that fell short of analyst estimates, disclosed the divestiture of the Company's Waterworks business segment, and announced increased capital investments in its Facilities Management segment.  As a result of the increase in its Facilities Management spending, HD Supply was forced to reduce its operating leverage targets for full year 2017. 

On this news, HD Supply's share price fell $7.24, or 17.5%, to close at $34.03 on June 6, 2017.
