Santa Cruz County Bank Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend Payment to Shareholders

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., March 21, 2017

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., March 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Cruz County Bank (OTC: SCZC), a top rated, high performing bank, announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $0.05 per share. The dividend is payable on April 10, 2017 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 31, 2017. This is the sixteenth consecutive quarterly cash dividend declared by the bank.

The bank reported a record $6.5 million in net income for the year ended December 31, 2016, an increase of 19%, compared to the prior year ended December 31, 2015. This represented a 13.58% return on average equity for the year. The book value per share of Santa Cruz County Bank's common stock at December 31, 2016 was $23.15, compared to $20.37 as of December 31, 2015. Shareholders' equity grew to $50.7 million, a 15% or $6.6 million increase compared to December 31, 2015. Record fourth quarter and annual earnings placed Santa Cruz County Bank in the #2 ranking for overall performance for California banks by Financial Management Consulting (FMC) Group.
